Busan late-night chicken spot in Yeonsan-dong: Yetnal Tongdak & Tang
In short
Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch is an old-style whole fried chicken restaurant in Yeonsan-dong, Yeonje-gu, Busan, open daily from 17:30 until 6am. Two friends ordered the sunsal-aeng-tang set, a whole dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken stew) served with boneless fried chicken, and ate the punchy broth loaded with rice cakes and glass noodles alongside the crisp chicken. On a night when you want both fried chicken and a fiery stew, Yetnal Tongdak & Tang is a solid late-night or second-round stop in Yeonsan-dong.

Fried chicken is always good, but sometimes you're not in the mood for a thick franchise chicken — you want the crispy-skinned old-school kind haha 🍗 That's exactly when a visit to Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch (옛날통닭앤탕 연산본점) hits the spot!
I visited through a sponsored opportunity, but here's my honest review 〰️
Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch hours and parking
Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch is at 41 Gobun-ro 31beon-gil, Yeonje-gu, Busan, and it's open every evening from 17:30 until 6am. There's no dedicated parking lot, so if you're driving, it's easiest to use Ora Parking Lot (paid) right next to the restaurant.
It's also within walking distance of Yeonsan Station, so it's a solid pick if you're coming by public transit too 〰️
Outside the restaurant: a neighborhood favorite with long CatchTable waits

Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch has that unmistakable real-neighborhood-favorite vibe... turns out it really is a local hit, with insane CatchTable waiting lists 🤨

My friend actually tried to come here once before but the wait was so long she went somewhere else instead...😦🫢 Guess that confirms it's the real deal...!!!!
Inside: walls covered end to end in customer graffiti

Once you step inside, the owner and staff greet you so warmly haha, they were so kind that it really made my day 〰️

The graffiti and messages left by past customers were insane — it was actually harder to find empty space than to find writing lolol, so much fun to look around at 😚

Friend: I can't even fathom how much love is written here. Me: If we write any more, we'll poke a hole through the wall.
What we ordered: the sunsal-aeng-tang set and free sides

We ordered the sunsal-aeng-tang 〰️ A whole dakdoritang plus boneless fried chicken!! And a Zero Coke >_< can't say no to soda with chicken 〰️

The basic side dishes were shrimp chips, a salad with plenty of dressing, and pickled radish!! Love a place that gives you shrimp chips... I'm such a sucker for this old-school vibe 😚👍 crispy and delicious haha

Dakdoritang: spicy broth packed with rice cakes and glass noodles
After a bit of a wait, they bring out the dakdoritang…..😍 bubbling away… 🥹 the visual is insane seriously!!!!!! that spicy, tangy smell was amazing …🫶🫶🫶

Loaded with rice cakes, and the glass noodles slurp up so nicely 〰️ the broth has just the right amount of spice, which pairs perfectly with the fried chicken ㅜㅜ

They told us we could eat the glass noodles first, and it's kind of fun letting the broth reduce down a bit as you go

That visual... wow 😘 I had a really stressful day that day, but eating this completely turned it around haha😚
Boneless fried chicken three ways: salt, sauce, or dipped in the broth

The boneless fried chicken came out crispy-fried too 🥹 the crunch really stays intact, so it's great dipped in salt, and also good dipped in the seasoned sauce for a yangnyeom-chicken feel haha

It's also great dipped in the dakdoritang broth haha. Perfect for when you want fried chicken but can't give up a spicy broth either! I get why this place is so popular ㅠㅠ so good 😆

Why Yetnal Tongdak & Tang works for late-night eats in Yeonsan-dong
Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch had that real neighborhood-favorite feeling 🍗 Perfect for the days when fried chicken alone just isn't enough and you want that spicy broth too 🫢 Since it's open so late, I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a late-night bite or second-round spot in Yeonsan-dong!!!! haha
If you're looking for a real Yeonsan-dong favorite, Yetnal Tongdak & Tang Yeonsan Main Branch — the Yeonsan-dong chicken restaurant, the Busan fried chicken spot — gets my 🤍strong recommendation🤍 〰️
