Samsam Milmyeon Main Branch is a milmyeon specialist near the terminal in Dal-dong, Ulsan, and it's already known as one of the area's go-to milmyeon places. Once the weather starts warming up, milmyeon (wheat cold noodles) is what I crave, and it's one of those things I eat every summer without fail. I get an appetite for it, weirdly... (Gumi—no, just kidding, I mean it really pulls me in!) So I stopped by Samsam Milmyeon before work.

It's near the terminal so it's easy to reach, and above all, a place with good parking is the best,,, hehe. It also stands out from far away, so it was easy to find.

Where do you park at Samsam Milmyeon?

The designated lots for Samsam Milmyeon are the Daegyeong parking lot and the Palbdo paid parking lot. It's near the intercity bus terminal, so access is good and it's perfect for a simple meal. In busy Samsan, Samsam Milmyeon's roomy parking is a real plus.

They stamp your parking ticket on the way out! If you parked, be sure to keep it. The two lots are right next to each other too, so they're easy to find.

The inside is quite spacious, with a variety of seats including tables for 2 and 4. The tables aren't packed together, so you can eat comfortably. It also looked great for eating alone.

It was bustling, maybe because it was a weekend evening, and there were tons of delivery orders while I sat there. This Dal-dong, Ulsan milmyeon spot has no break time, so it stays busy steadily.

The kitchen is open, so you can naturally watch the cooking. I was impressed by how neat and tidy it was.

As a milmyeon specialist, the menu is of course all milmyeon! I ordered a large mul milmyeon (cold noodles in broth), a bibim milmyeon (spicy mixed noodles), and the dumplings you can't skip.

You order on the tablet at each table, which has detailed options. For each dish you can choose things like no dadaegi (seasoned chili paste) / less dadaegi / no radish / no cucumber. Loved that.

Warm broth refilled from a kettle

Once you order, they bring broth, pickled radish (danmuji), radish kimchi and soy sauce. The soy sauce comes because I ordered dumplings, haha. When you finish the broth, they refill it from a kettle.

The broth is honestly the kicker,, I'm basically someone who drinks a whole kettle; hehe. It's so good, so soothe your stomach with the hot broth.

Just order via the table tablet! You pay in advance, which is convenient. They also have vinegar and mustard ready.

How many dumplings come at Samsam Milmyeon?

You get 8 dumplings in total. Aaah, look at that chewy skin! Dumplings that are easy to eat without feeling heavy ㅠㅠ

They were so delicious even without dipping in soy sauce. I kind of wanted to cram them into my mouth, haha.

The mul milmyeon looks cool and hearty just from the icy broth. The large portion is enormous, but I finished it all...

Above all, milmyeon texture should be chewy and springy, and Samsam Milmyeon's is exactly that ㅠ It goes perfectly with the toppings. The meat on top isn't dry and pairs so well with the noodles ㅜㅜ

Samsam Milmyeon bibim milmyeon taste

The bibim milmyeon arrives with the sauce already well mixed. Aaah, just the color of it makes my mouth water. They bring scissors too for cutting the noodles, so no worries.

A moderate spiciness with the nutty flavor of sesame oil is a perfect match. Eat it with the meat and cucumber on top and it's so good. It totally revives your appetite.

Is Samsam Milmyeon a good milmyeon spot near Ulsan's terminal?

They say Samsam Milmyeon makes its broth from Korean beef (Hanwoo) cow bones with natural ingredients and no additives. Maybe because it has held its spot for a long time, it's an Ulsan milmyeon restaurant with lots of people coming and going.

It's near the terminal, so I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place near the bus terminal. Isn't milmyeon a nice light meal? It'll be even more tempting as the weather heats up, so come try it. Parking is roomy too, so it's an easy visit haha.
