Gijang outlet restaurant: pizza dipped in gnocchi cream, Bueokgan

I went shopping at Shinsegae Premium Outlets in Gijang and had lunch at Bueokgan Restaurant inside the outlet. You get hungry while shopping, and the outlet is huge, so I like to fill up first and walk it off before the real shopping starts! I'd only ever passed Bueokgan by, so this was my first visit.

Bueokgan Restaurant at Shinsegae Outlets Gijang: hours and break time

Bueokgan Restaurant is at 1133 Jeonggwan-ro, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, 1F Unit 180. It is open Mon–Thu 10:30–20:30 (last order 20:00) and Fri–Sun 10:30–21:00 (last order 20:30), with a break time of 15:00–16:00 Mon–Fri (except public holidays).

Where is Bueokgan in Shinsegae Premium Outlets Gijang?

If you drive in through the entrance, Bueokgan is on the left, at the innermost end of the NORTH building's 1st floor.

It's right next to the System Homme store and the wine shop. There are tons of restaurants in the Busan outlet, but I wanted Western food that day, so my sister and I went to Bueokgan.

The waiting area felt like a hotel lounge. Break time is 15:00–16:00, Monday to Friday.

What we ordered at Bueokgan and the menu prices

You order on a tablet at Bueokgan. Today we ordered three things.

• Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi (22.0)
• Arugula prosciutto pizza (22.0)
• Grapefruit ade (6.5)

Bueokgan's atmosphere: is it good for kids?

The interior is warm, cozy wood, so it feels relaxed rather than a stiffly formal restaurant. The tables are fairly well spaced, so it works for a meal with friends or with family.

Maybe because it's an outlet, there were lots of families with kids, and Bueokgan is a YES Kids Zone that welcomes children, with baby chairs and children's tableware.

How does Bueokgan's truffle mushroom cream gnocchi taste? 🍄‍🟫

Bueokgan's truffle mushroom cream gnocchi pairs chewy, soft potato gnocchi with a rich cream sauce. I love gnocchi in general, and the cream sauce tasted nutty, probably because there's so much cheese in it.

There were plenty of mushrooms too, and the faint truffle aroma made the gnocchi feel a bit upscale.

Arugula prosciutto pizza 🍕: dough and toppings

Bueokgan's arugula prosciutto pizza looks tempting from the start, with salty prosciutto and arugula piled on a piping hot pizza. The dough isn't too thick and has a clean, plain taste, so it goes well with the toppings.

I like arugula anyway, and with so much of it on top, it paired nicely with the prosciutto.

Best combo: prosciutto pizza with Tabasco dipped in gnocchi cream sauce

I sprinkled a little Tabasco on the arugula prosciutto pizza, and the spicy kick made it even better. Then I dipped it lightly in the gnocchi cream sauce too. Tabasco + gnocchi cream sauce, highly recommended! That said, I think I actually enjoyed the gnocchi, with its heaps of cheese, more than the pizza.

Is Bueokgan a good Western restaurant at Shinsegae Outlets Gijang?

I finished with a refreshing grapefruit ade as a palate cleanser, and that was lunch done ✌️ Bueokgan is inside the outlet, so it's easy to reach and convenient before or after shopping, which makes it perfect for a date, a family meal or lunch with friends! If you want Western food at Shinsegae Premium Outlets in Gijang, it's worth remembering as a place to drop by at least once. :)
