Odd Bird Oliver opening hours and parking
Odd Bird Oliver in Jeonpo is open every day from 09:00 to 21:00, with a break from 16:00 to 17:30. There is no private parking lot.

A few days ago I went to Odd Bird Oliver in Jeonpo, Busanjin-gu, with a friend on a weekday lunch 😀 There's no parking lot, so we left the car in a nearby public car park and walked.

Jeonpo has lots of tasty restaurants with good atmosphere, and Odd Bird Oliver was one I'd saved on Naver Map and had my eye on, so I headed over full of expectations even in 38°C heat.. 🔥

Is Odd Bird Oliver busy at weekday lunch?
At weekday lunch, Odd Bird Oliver wasn't busy at all and felt quiet. I'd read reviews saying there's a wait on weekends, but on a weekday we could eat in a relaxed way, which made it even better.

The space is neither big nor small, just right (by my standards)~ It felt really clean, which I liked. If you follow the shop on Naver you can get an Americano coupon, so it's worth using.

We reserved before visiting, and they gave us a pretty window seat. The wood-toned interior and the calm, sentimental mood made even me feel calmer.

What two people ordered at Odd Bird Oliver
Odd Bird Oliver has set menus that suit 2-3 people, but we ordered three single dishes and two drinks. We were so hungry that we figured nothing leafy would do (?), so we boldly skipped the set menu and ordered what we really wanted haha
- Fish roe aglio e olio
- Chipotle roast chicken
- Jamón mushroom risotto
- Two drinks (iced Americano, 100% pressed apple juice)

The drinks came first, so we sipped them while chatting. The apple juice wasn't artificially sweet; you could taste the natural sweetness and freshness of apples, and it wasn't too sugary, so it went well with the food.
Fish roe aglio e olio (18,000 won)

The fish roe aglio e olio at Odd Bird Oliver is ₩18,000 and was the first dish out. So many people order it that it seems like the signature dish, so I tried it even though I don't usually like aglio e olio. Good thing I did..!!! It was so delicious. The oil base keeps it clean and light, and the salty umami of the fish roe is really charming.. ✨
Jamón mushroom risotto (19,000 won)

The jamón mushroom risotto is ₩19,000: thick, creamy risotto topped with jamón (Spanish-style cured ham) and arugula. The salty jamón and the deep flavor of the mushrooms went really well together. It seemed to use brown rice (?) instead of white rice. The texture felt unusual at first, but as I ate, I found it chewy and better than regular rice. The arugula matched perfectly too (I'm at the age where I appreciate arugula's scent). The mushroom aroma is strong, so mushroom lovers will probably be even happier.
Chipotle roast chicken (29,000 won)

The chipotle roast chicken is ₩29,000 and comes with mashed potatoes. Putting the mash on top of the chicken was soft and so good. The chicken is golden outside and juicy inside, not dry at all, and super tender. You really only feel like you've eaten once there's protein. I couldn't stop reaching for it!! 👏

Are three single dishes enough for two people?
The portion of each dish at Odd Bird Oliver isn't huge, so two people eating three dishes ended up just full 😊
Verdict: a quiet weekday lunch at Odd Bird Oliver in Jeonpo
You can really feel that every dish at Odd Bird Oliver is made with care. The plating is pretty enough to make you want to take photos, and the taste and atmosphere need no explanation. The staff were sooo kind that I was in a good mood the whole meal. I also like that on weekdays you can probably eat comfortably even without a reservation. If you're looking for a brunch restaurant in Jeonpo that's good for a date, I recommend it as a Jeonpo brunch favorite!!
