Daegu peanut bread stall by Seomun South Gate 2: Daesin Peanut Bread
In short
Daesin Peanut Bread (대신땅콩빵) is a peanut bread and egg bread stall in the first spot on the peanut bread lane inside Seomun Market in Jung-gu, Daegu. The address that comes up in searches leads to an office building, so the writer went back into Seomun Market toward the South Gate 2 entrance and bought 45 peanut breads and 2 egg breads for 10,000 won. With more than 5 peanuts in each peanut bread and generous portions, Daesin Peanut Bread was satisfying for both taste and quantity.

Does the Daesin Peanut Bread address lead to an office?
Yes. The address you find when searching (Keunjang-ro 26-gil) leads to an office building, not the shop. The place that actually sells the peanut bread is inside Seomun Market.

I searched the address and went there too, but when I arrived it was an office building, not a shop.

The actual shop is inside Seomun Market. If you're planning a visit, keep this in mind.
How to find Daesin Peanut Bread inside Seomun Market
Inside the market, walk a little way toward the South Gate 2 gate and the shop is on your left. The map inside the market also shows the location clearly.

So shall we go find Daesin Peanut Bread inside Seomun Market?

The map marks the location well, so it was easier to find than I expected.

Once inside the market, walk a little toward the South Gate 2 gate and Daesin Peanut Bread is on the left. You can also find it if you come out at North Gate 11.
First shop on the peanut bread lane: the Daesin Peanut Bread atmosphere
Daesin Peanut Bread is the very first of the peanut bread shops lined up inside Seomun Market. The staff in yellow clothes stand out, so it was easy to spot.

Walking into the market, I found peanut bread shops lined up all along the lane, and Daesin Peanut Bread was the first one.

The staff in yellow clothes caught my eye, so finding the shop wasn't hard.

Besides peanut bread, they sell a range of items, from handmade peanut butter to peanut latte and egg bread (gyeran-ppang, a small egg-filled bread).

Roasted and black peanut samples, and sizes
They also sell roasted peanuts on one side, and the staff eagerly offer samples so you can taste before buying.

They're pre-roasted, so you can eat them right away, which makes them handy as a snack. Besides regular peanuts, there were black peanuts too. They come in 500g and 1kg sizes, so they looked good for gifts as well.

Heebab's autograph: "Life-changing peanut bread"
On one side of the shop there's also an autograph from the mukbang YouTuber Heebab.

She left the phrase "life peanut bread" (인생땅콩빵), and personally, of all the peanut bread shops I've tried so far, the Seomun Market branch has the most generous portions and tastes the best.

How does Daesin Peanut Bread bake its bread?
At the back of the shop, a staff member bakes peanut bread nonstop, putting really generous amounts of peanuts into the batter. The nutty smell of freshly baked bread drifted out too.

Once baked, the bread goes into a wide basket to let the steam off and keep it crisp, a perfect touch.

The staff clearly divide the work and move in sync. Even with customers constantly lining up, orders didn't back up and went smoothly, which impressed me.

The baked bread is kept warm in a heated display and bagged as soon as you order, so you get it piping hot, which I loved.
Daesin Peanut Bread menu and ordering bread without peanuts
Peanut bread is sold in units of 20, 45 and 80, and depending on your taste they'll also bake the bread without peanuts. Big menu boards hang all around the shop, so you can check easily before ordering.

They're so generous that they even add more than the amount you bought.

And since they bake bread without peanuts on request, even people who don't like peanuts can order. Please see the photos above for the detailed menu and prices.
The ₩10,000 order: 45 peanut breads + 2 egg breads
I ordered 45 peanut breads and 2 egg breads at Daesin Peanut Bread for ₩10,000 in total. Isn't that happiness for ten thousand won?

I was surprised at how heavy the bag was the moment I got it.

When I opened it, it was packed with peanut bread. At home I put the bread in a bowl, and there was so much it overflowed.

Peanut bread and egg bread taste
Each peanut bread had 5 or more peanuts inside, so it was well filled, which I liked. You can feel they don't hold back on the peanuts.

The egg bread was palm-sized and fairly hefty too. Inside is just egg, but the batter itself is tasty and pleasantly salty, so I kept reaching for more.
One-line review
If you visit Seomun Market in Daegu, I think Daesin Peanut Bread is worth trying as a snack. The peanut bread is well filled and the egg bread is generous too, so I was happy with both taste and quantity. It was an honest review of a snack, and the generous service made it even more enjoyable.
