Nowon Station healthy restaurant, sous vide beef salad pasta: Prefers

With my wedding right around the corner, I've been looking for meals that aren't too heavy but still taste good and give me some nutrition. Prefers is the place I go most often when I eat alone and want something simple, and a new branch just opened in Nowon, so I stopped by.

Where is Prefers Nowon Station, and can you park?

Prefers Nowon Station is really close to Exit 9 of Nowon Station. Walk a little after leaving the exit and you'll spot the green storefront right away, so it's easy even if it's your first visit.

Nowon Station is served by Lines 4 and 7, so it was convenient to reach by public transport. The restaurant is open daily from 9am to 9pm. There's no parking, so I'd recommend going by public transport like I did.

What's the atmosphere like at Prefers Nowon Station?

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and stylish it feels! Green accents are placed throughout, so it naturally feels like a place that sells salads and healthy food.

Is it comfortable to eat alone near Nowon Station?

Prefers Nowon Station has seats set aside for solo diners, so eating alone didn't feel awkward at all. As a newly opened branch, the whole interior is very clean, and the tables and seats are neatly arranged.

What quietly bothers me when I eat alone is sitting by myself at a big table, but most seats here are bar tables or small two-seaters. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable place to eat solo near Nowon Station.

Is Prefers only salads?

Prefers doesn't just sell salads. The menu includes plates, salad pasta, bowls, curry and more. Protein content is listed on the menu too, which I thought would be especially helpful for people managing their diet.

How were the taste and portion of the beef salad pasta?

This time I ordered the beef salad pasta, my favorite Prefers menu item. A salad alone would leave me hungry soon, and regular pasta feels too heavy, so it's exactly what I was looking for. The plate had a generous amount of salad, with pasta noodles and beef on one side, and the portion looked quite hearty.

With salads, sometimes the vegetables are cold or watery, which is disappointing, but I was satisfied overall at Prefers Nowon Station. The beef is cooked sous vide (slow-cooked in a water bath), so it wasn't tough and was nice and tender. Eating it with the pasta noodles made it feel like a proper meal, not just a salad!
