Shashlik Jinhae Branch (샤슬릭 진해점) is a meat restaurant in Seokdong, Jinhae. I heard they grill all the meat for you and that dogs are welcome, so I went. It's at 16 Dongjin-ro 61beon-gil, Jinhae-gu, Changwon, Gyeongnam, 2nd floor.

I didn't make a reservation, but I arrived earlier than the dinner rush and got in right away with no wait. Then, while I was waiting for my order, a crowd came pouring in! The place filled up in an instant~ If you're going for dinner, I'd recommend going a little early.

I snapped the interior quickly as soon as I walked in, while it was still empty! There's even group seating, you know? It looked perfect for a get-together.

They had board games, and they sell drinks for dogs too. "Mung-soju" (a dog-friendly play on soju), so cute, haha. The pet fair ticket you can see there was useless because the day I visited was the last day of the pet show, aw. Next time I'll visit the pet fair too!

They set out dipping sauces, salt, pickles and so on~ I think the original meat sauce is salt 💦

Next up is today's main dish. We ordered the signature of Shashlik Jinhae Branch, the pork belly-neck shashlik!

Doesn't it look so delicious? Even as I write this post, my mouth is watering again 💦 The pork belly-neck shashlik came with grilled pineapple, broccoli, onion, mushrooms and more as garnish, not just the meat.

Good food deserves a second look! The plating is so pretty, I'm so satisfied 💗

Look at the size of the meat. It's huge 👍🏻 And they grill it over charcoal for you, so you can eat it right away.

Pork belly and pork neck shashlik: taste and texture

A dip in the salt too! haha With onion and pineapple alongside ✨🤤 The pork belly is so good, I'm crying. The crispy golden outside and the moist juiciness are the best, really. And since I didn't grill it myself, there's no worry about the smell sticking to my clothes, which makes it even better 👍🏻

Both the belly and the neck were juicy yet clean-tasting! The chewy-yet-tender texture really came through. I normally don't like grilled pineapple, but the one at Shashlik Jinhae Branch was delicious 💕

Is Shashlik Jinhae Branch good for a wedding invitation dinner in Jinhae?

The meat is tasty, the atmosphere is nice and the space is very big, so I think Shashlik Jinhae Branch suits family gatherings, group meetups and wedding invitation meetups (the Korean tradition of treating friends to a meal while handing out invitations) really well! If you're planning one in Jinhae or Changwon, everybody gather at Shashlik Jinhae Branch~! ✨✌🏻

As for the truffle fries, need I say more? Crispy fried potatoes with a subtle truffle aroma gave a more upscale flavor, and the texture was the best too.

Can you order the cheese fried rice at Shashlik Jinhae Branch less spicy?

You can adjust the spice level of the fried rice at Shashlik Jinhae Branch. I can't skip the K-dessert fried rice, right~ I eat spicy food well, but my companion can't handle spice at all, so we asked for it not spicy 💛

The cheese stretches so much~ Smells so good ✨ The look of it is crazy 🥺 A Jinhae gem really is different.

The meat with its faint smoky char, the melted nutty cheese and the fried rice blended together harmoniously and were so delicious! I love mushrooms, okay? The mushrooms and onions were chopped small and mixed in, so the texture was great and I kept reaching for more 💗

I ate until I was full and happy. Next time I'll visit Shashlik Jinhae Branch with my dog at home. I'm sad we couldn't come together 🥺
