In short

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch (부엌간 해운대점) is a 100-pyeong-plus Western restaurant on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. On a Haeundae day out with her mom, the writer ordered the 51,000 won couple set, paid 4,000 won extra for the napa cabbage Caesar salad, and also had basil pesto cream pasta and pepperoni pizza; the napa cabbage Caesar salad topped with a poached egg was the clear favorite. With parking, an elevator and a village bus from Jangsan Station, Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is an easy pick for a meal with parents or the whole family.

Anyone out there looking for a restaurant with a nice mood in Haeundae?! I went to Bueokgan Haeundae Branch with my mom as a Haeundae date, and I was way more satisfied than I expected...! Even though I'm from Busan, it felt like I was on a trip. Highly recommended, a real gem in Dalmaji-gil, Haeundae, Jungdong 🫶

What comes in the Bueokgan couple set, and how much is it?

Menu at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch

The couple set at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch came with 1 salad, 1 pasta, 1 pizza and 2 drinks for a base price of ₩51,000. If you pick the napa cabbage Caesar salad, it's ₩4,000 extra.

  • 🥬 1 salad
  • 🍝 1 pasta
  • 🍕 1 pizza
  • 🥤 2 drinks

Considering prices these days, isn't that a really decent deal…? I also liked how wide the menu choices are! Here's what we picked 🤍

  • 🥬 Napa cabbage Caesar salad
  • 🍝 Basil pesto cream pasta
  • 🍕 Pepperoni pizza
  • 🍹 Grapefruit ade
  • 🥤 Coke Zero

Kabocha pumpkin soup served before the meal

When we ordered the couple set, a pumpkin soup came out before the meal. It was a back-to-basics, absolutely delicious pumpkin soup. Repeating myself makes me sound silly, but it was seriously way, way, way more delicious than I expected....!!!!

It was thick, with the pumpkin's natural sweetness coming through strongly, so even though it's a starter we emptied it in no time, hehehe. Smooth and rich, the kind of flavor everyone from kids to grandparents would love, you know the one 🩵

Is Bueokgan's napa cabbage Caesar salad really that good?

Bueokgan's napa cabbage Caesar salad is grilled napa cabbage piled with cheese and toppings and crowned with a poached egg, and it was the best dish of this visit. The one I was looking forward to most… the napa cabbage Caesar salad‼️🥬

It's no exaggeration to say I came just for this, haha. I'd seen it on Instagram and even saved it 🥹 Everyone talks about the napa cabbage salad when they talk about Bueokgan, so I wondered how good it could really be…? and arrived with huge expectations.

And it really was good. I couldn't believe it was cabbage?! I already like cabbage, but this is honestly cheating-level good ㅠㅠ The grilled napa cabbage is loaded with cheese and toppings, and above all the poached egg was the real kick‼️

When I popped the poached egg and ate it together, the richness shot up and the flavor got so much deeper. I couldn't believe cabbage could taste this good, haha. Mom and I just kept repeating, "This is so good... I want to make it at home." Honestly, I kept thinking about it even after getting home.

Basil pesto cream pasta at Bueokgan

The basil pesto cream pasta was really good too. It comes with a poached egg as well, and when you pop it and mix it in, the thick cream sauce and the basil flavor come through really strongly.

Basil lovers will like it, of course, but I think even people who don't usually go for basil can eat it without any burden! Personally, I'd call it a pasta everyone can like, no love-it-or-hate-it 🩵

Pepperoni pizza at Bueokgan

Bueokgan's pepperoni pizza is the classic style rather than a pizza with a bunch of random toppings?!!!! That's why I like it. The salty pepperoni and cheese combo was so good, and eating it with the pasta was the best pairing.

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch interior and window seats

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is over 100 pyeong, so it's spacious, and above all the mood by the windows was really nice. I hadn't asked for anything, but they showed us to a great window seat, which touched me 🥹

Eating while looking at the view outside made it feel like a trip even though I'm a Busan local 🩵 The staff were also really kind. It feels like little things like that add up to make the meal more satisfying 🤍

Is there parking and an elevator at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch?

Parking is available at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, and you can take the elevator straight up to the 2nd floor from the parking lot. At Dalmaji-gil restaurants parking is often a worry, but Bueokgan has parking, so it was so convenient. If you're driving, you can come with no worries at all!

There's an elevator too, so we got up easily. I pinned the spot for you. Since you can use it right from the parking lot, it would be great for bringing your parents too.

How to get to Bueokgan Haeundae Branch by bus from Jangsan Station

From Jangsan Station (장산역), take village bus Haeundae 10 or Haeundae 2 and it's two stops to Bueokgan Haeundae Branch. Don't worry if you don't have a car: there's a village bus stop nearby, so public transport works. I pinned the bus stop locations too 🤍

One more thing: the restroom

And one more thing I personally liked! The restroom at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch was really clean too 🥹 When you go to a restaurant, you end up quietly caring about the restroom, right? It was well kept, which made me even happier.

Is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch good for a meal with parents and family?

Food, atmosphere, friendly staff, parking and even the restroom were all satisfying, so I think Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a really good place to visit with family 🥹

  • The food is delicious (the napa cabbage Caesar salad especially ㅠㅠ)
  • Nice atmosphere
  • Friendly staff
  • Easy parking
  • Clean restroom!
