Namyangsan Station restaurant with egg yolk pesto pasta: Bueokgan

Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch is a European-style Western restaurant on the basement floor of Oslo Park in Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan, near Namyangsan Station and Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital. On a late-lunch visit, Bueokgan served basil pesto cream pasta at 18,000 won, seafood tomato pasta at 19,000 won and truffle mushroom pizza at 22,000 won, and the pesto pasta eaten with its egg yolk broken and stirred in, along with the truffle-scented pizza, were the highlights. The seafood tomato pasta was marked spicy but tasted nothing of the sort, yet with Oslo Park parking and Yes Kids Zone equipment, Bueokgan works well for a family lunch.

Ulsan beef gukbap restaurant for yukhoe bibimbap lunch: Boksan Haejang

Boksan Haejang is a lunch-only hanwoo beef gukbap (rice soup) and yukhoe (raw beef) restaurant on Songjeong 29-gil in Buk-gu, Ulsan. Nursing a hangover from the night before, the writer ordered hanwoo gukbap for 11,000 won and a large yukhoe bibimbap for 16,000 won, and when one bowl of gukbap arrived without its meat, the owner apologized repeatedly and offered to pack a fresh portion to go. Both the broth and the yukhoe were good enough that Boksan Haejang looks set to become a regular stop.
