Sunae massage shop for dry full-body care: Terra

My shoulders, back, and neck had been tight for a while, so I came across Terra (테라) while looking for a massage shop in Sunae. I booked the 90-minute dry Terra Release full-body treatment and visited.

Where is Terra, and how do reservations and parking work?

Terra is at 11 Naejeong-ro 173beon-gil, shop 121 in Daemyung Jest Shopping Center, Seongnam, Gyeonggi. It operates entirely by reservation, so I booked ahead. Free parking is also available.

The shop was on the first floor of the shopping center. I walked a little farther inside from the entrance, and it was easy to spot.

What were the treatment room and preparations like?

The shop uses private rooms, so I could receive the treatment comfortably on my own. After arriving, I filled out a questionnaire about my current condition and the areas that felt uncomfortable. It was reassuring to explain my condition before the treatment.

Before starting, I changed into the prepared top and bottom, which made it easier to receive the massage.

A hair dryer, comb, and hair tie were also provided. I thought it would be fine to stop by before meeting someone because I could tidy my hair afterward.

What was the foot bath like before the massage?

After changing, I had a foot bath while drinking warm tea. The foot bath machine had an electrical stimulation function, but if you are sensitive to stimulation like I am, you can turn it off and soak your feet in warm water.

If you are used to an EMS massager, you could also turn it on and use it. I found it relaxing to soak my feet in warm water and rest for a while.

The tea was warm and tasted good. I enjoyed the foot bath and tea together while sitting in the cool air from the air conditioner.

What was the dry full-body treatment sequence and pressure like?

After about 10 minutes of soaking my feet, the massage began with my legs. I told the therapist that my shoulders, back, and neck were especially uncomfortable, so I expected the legs to receive only light attention. Instead, the therapist said my legs were tight too and worked on them carefully.

The pressure was adjusted from my calves to my thighs. For me, it was strong enough to feel almost painful but also refreshing. Because it was a dry treatment, it felt less like gliding with oil and more like steady pressure applied to tight areas.

The treatment then moved to my upper body, with focused work on my shoulders and back. The therapist found the areas that usually felt tight and pressed them. Even though it did not look like much force was being used, it felt refreshing.

It felt especially good when the therapist used their fingertips to press the area from inside my shoulder blades toward the back of my neck. From time to time, they guided me to exhale deeply, and following my breathing made me feel the tension leave my body. After my arms and fingertips were treated, my arms also felt noticeably lighter.

The pressure was adjusted throughout, and the kind service made me feel comfortable. Since each area was treated in sequence, the 90 minutes did not feel long. At the end, the therapist applied an oil-like product to my neck. A warm feeling spread through the area, and my neck seemed to feel lighter.

How did I feel afterward, and would I return?

I have not visited many massage shops in Sunae, but I was satisfied with the adjustable pressure and kind service this time. I left after the 90-minute dry Terra Release treatment with the feeling that my shoulders, back, and neck had loosened up. I would visit again, and next time I would like to try a different course.
