Sinnonhyeon 24-hour café with a smoked salmon ciabatta: Selecto Coffee
In short
Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe is a 24-hour bakery café a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station in Seocho, Seoul. The smoked salmon sandwich arrived on ciabatta-style bread rather than plain white bread, packed with salmon, salad and red onion so half was already filling, and the geisha bean iced americano tasted fragrant and clean alongside it. With outlets at nearly every seat, in-store restrooms and a print zone open 24 hours, Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon is an easy place to settle in for a long stretch.

These days when I pick a café, it's not just about whether the coffee is good — whether it's a comfortable place to stay a while matters a lot too.
I had some free time near Sinnonhyeon recently, so I stopped by Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe.
It's about a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station, so the accessibility was really good. I thought it'd be a solid pick for anyone with plans around Gangnam or just needing a quick break between errands. Let me introduce it!
Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon, and when is it open?

The address is 31 Gangnam-daero 79-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul, 3 minutes from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 1. It's open 24 hours.
What the café looks like inside

Since it's basically open 24 hours, the biggest perk is that you can visit without worrying much about time,

and inside, the seating felt pretty spacious — the gaps between seats weren't cramped, so it was comfortable to sit for a while.
The Sinnonhyeon area is generally crowded with people and busy cafés, but Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch felt a bit more relaxed, probably thanks to its roomier layout.
Best of all, there are outlets at nearly every seat, and some seats felt separated enough for solo work, so you could stay a long time without feeling self-conscious.
Coffee bean choices and the food menu

When you hear "Selecto Coffee," you can't help but think of the coffee menu — that's because they have a range of beans on hand, from a basic americano to mocha americano, a bright/floral americano, Blue Mountain, and more!
I'm an iced-americano-only person, so I loved that I could taste different beans instead of the same flavor every day.

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch sells more than just coffee — bagels, sandwiches and other food items too, so it looked like a decent spot to grab a simple meal.

With everything from meal items to bakery and dessert menus prepared, it seemed like a good place to come for coffee with a meal, or just for a snack when you're a bit hungry!
Smoked salmon ciabatta sandwich and geisha iced americano
Now let me introduce what I actually ordered :)

What I ordered that day was the smoked salmon sandwich and an iced americano brewed with geisha beans.

First, the smoked salmon sandwich was genuinely the best as a meal — it was packed with smoked salmon, salad and red onion, so even eating half of it was seriously filling, and it paired really well with coffee.

Personally I loved that the bread wasn't regular sliced bread but more of a ciabatta-style bread (I'm someone who has beef with sliced bread, haha)
and above all, the sauce inside wasn't too heavy while still clearly seasoned, which paired really well with the smoked salmon's distinctly clean yet salty flavor.
As you can see in the photo, the vegetables' freshness speaks for itself...❤

And for the coffee, instead of a regular americano, I went with geisha beans, which felt a bit different from your typical nutty americano.
It was clean and easy to drink, with a subtle fragrant aroma, so it was nice to sip slowly alongside the sandwich. Having it iced especially seemed to bring out the overall refreshing, clean feel even more.

When you're eating something with as much flavor as the smoked salmon sandwich, a coffee that's too heavy or strong can clash with it, but I thought this bean really matched well with meal items!
I'm curious about trying other beans or bakery items next time — the menu selection was that varied.
Is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon good for laptop work?

Personally, what I liked most about Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch was the comfortable-to-stay-long atmosphere and the hours (24-hour operation)!
Looking around, I actually saw people with laptops open working, and it seemed like a decent atmosphere for studying alone or handling personal tasks too.
It seemed like a good fit for anyone near Sinnonhyeon Station who needs to kill time regardless of the hour, before or after a meet-up, or who needs a space to work.
Restrooms, plates and forks, and the 24-hour print zone

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch has separate men's and women's restrooms inside the store, which was convenient to use. Compared to cafés where you have to step outside and come back in, this was definitely a plus,

and when I asked for a plate and fork to eat the sandwich with, the staff provided them so kindly! Top marks for service too 👍

Lastly, there's a 24-hour print zone inside the store too, which seemed like it would be really handy if you suddenly need to print something while working.
Final thoughts on Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon
- A café you can use late into the night
- Space for laptop work or studying
- Coffee from a variety of beans
- Varied, fresh food and bakery items
If you're looking for any of these, I think it's worth a visit.

The 24-hour operation is such a huge perk since you can visit regardless of the time, and the spacious gaps between seats made it relatively comfortable to stay long.
The sandwich and coffee menus were all delicious, so if you're looking for a café open late in Sinnonhyeon, give Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch a try :)
