Jungnang café for ₩3,500 burgers and chicken takeout: Daroa
In short
Daroa Dongbu Market Branch is a café-style takeout shop in Jungnang, Seoul, selling burgers, chicken, meal kits, and snacks. I took home an Iroun Crunch Corn Burger, Iroun Chicken, and boneless galbitang (beef short-rib soup) to share with my child, and checked out the member perks and pickup zone. Verdict: an excellent-value stop for a meal and snacks.

Prices have been rising so frighteningly lately that I keep seeking out places with great value whenever I need to sort out a meal!

I was near Dongbu Market for a hospital visit for the first time in ages, and found this amazing little food spot that nailed all three: taste, price, and perks. I had to quickly tell you about it! After just one visit, I had no choice but to mark it as a regular go-to for our family.

Daroa Dongbu Market Branch won me over with its value and perks
It was easy to find thanks to the cute yellow character and eye-catching standing sign. The shop is small but packed with good things. There is no indoor dining, but the owner thoughtfully put out one little table outside! You can sit down and eat a burger before heading off.
- Name: Daroa Dongbu Market Branch (다로아 동부시장점)
- Address: Inside Dongbu Market, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, South Korea
- Highlights: 24-hour self-service access, a free drink when joining, and Kakao Open Chat reservation pickup

A ₩3,500 burger and ₩9,900 chicken?
I had actually gone to try Daroa's famous Sobobeok burger, but apparently it is not available right now. Instead, they have newly launched the Iroun Burger and Iroun Chicken!

The Iroun Burger series
Crunch Corn, Cheese Bulgogi, and Egg Cheese Bulgogi are ₩2,500–₩3,500! You can also upgrade to a burger set with fries and a drink for only ₩3,500 more, so it is genuinely easy on the wallet.

Another huge surprise was the Iroun Chicken (₩9,900), an incredible new menu item. It follows a “chicken overflowing from the box” concept and is piled in so generously that I thought it would be hard to beat for a late-night family snack with kids.

There were lots of snacks besides burgers and chicken, too. Iroun Bread gets cheaper the more you buy, and the Iroun Dopamine snack corner had all sorts of sweet, salty, and spicy treats, which I loved~

Summer desserts of the day, meal kits, all kinds of drinks—there really is nothing they do not have! Daroa felt like a smart shop where you can find meal kits and snacks all in one place at remarkably low prices.

Daroa member benefits and reservation pickup
Then I looked at the price list and saw separate member prices with huge discounts! So I asked the owner about it.
Joining the Kakao Open Chat makes you a member, and it is neither complicated nor difficult~ Just for signing up, you get a free iced Americano or iced tea!
Once you join the Open Chat, you can be first to receive member-only timed deals of up to 99% off, real-time closing sales, and new-product news. There is also a tidy “PICK UP ZONE for Open Chat reservation customers,” where you can reserve in advance through Open Chat and collect your order easily. It looked perfect for picking something up straight away without waiting on the way home from work, when you just want to get home and rest.

What I took home and ate
Ta-da! These are the items I picked up today. I got burgers, chicken, galbitang, and snacks, all nice and sorted.
Iroun Chicken
The box was packed tightly with beautifully crispy fried chicken pieces, and it even included sweet, nutty fried sweet potato—such a thoughtful touch! Crispy outside and moist inside, it had my child wolfing it down, saying, “Mom, this chicken is so delicious!”
My child cannot eat seasoned sauce yet, so I bought some separately, and I really liked this container. Even if you do not finish it, you can put the lid on without spilling and take it along when you travel. It is even tastier dipped in the seasoned sauce!

Iroun Crunch Corn Burger
Between soft sesame buns, it had a savory patty and loads of crunchy, sweet corn topping. I enjoyed every last bite. The quality was so high that I could hardly believe it cost ₩3,500.

Cham Boneless Galbitang and Thai konjac snacks
As a mom raising a child, I found the galbitang incredibly convenient: no need to pick bones out; just pour it into a pot and heat it. The broth was rich, and the meat was beautifully tender.

The Thai squid-flavored konjac chips I brought home with it were the perfect beer snack: spicy and salty without the calorie burden! They were quite a treat. Since they are low-calorie konjac, they are perfect when your mouth feels bored! The seasoning got on my hands, so I ate them with chopsticks haha.
Great value and a satisfying selection, from ₩3,500 burgers to ₩9,900 chicken! The chicken is seriously delicious~ Please try it at least once.
