Isu Station slice pizza: spicy fusilli and mac & cheese, Raymond
In short
Raymond Isu Branch is an American-style pizza restaurant near Isu Station in Dongjak, Seoul. On a first visit, the writer used table order for four slices (pepperoni, spicy fusilli, brown potato and American Bulbeok, ₩7,500 to ₩9,200) plus mac & cheese (₩11,900) to share, and found each slice big enough that one was satisfying. If you would rather try several flavors than commit to a whole pie, ordering by the slice at Raymond Isu Branch is a good fit.

I wanted a tasty pizza for a combined lunch and dinner near Isu Station, and that's how I ended up at Raymond Isu Branch. I usually like American-style pizza, so I went in with high hopes, and being able to try several slice pizzas in one go made me really happy.

What are the atmosphere and ordering like at Raymond Isu Branch?
Raymond Isu Branch is close to Isu Station, so it's easy to reach, and the vibe works for meeting friends or a casual date. The inside felt clean and casual, with that classic American pizza joint feel.

What I especially liked was the table order system, which lets you pick your menu comfortably. You can browse slowly while you order, so even first-timers won't have trouble.

What we ordered on the first visit, and the prices
Since it was my first visit, I ordered a bit of everything: four slice pizzas, mac & cheese and a drink.
- Mac & cheese ₩11,900
- Pepperoni pizza (slice) ₩7,500
- Spicy fusilli pizza (slice) ₩9,200
- Brown potato pizza (slice) ₩8,900
- American Bulbeok pizza (slice) ₩8,900
- Sprite ₩4,000

Waiting for the food, hehe

A plate and two forks! You can grab a knife from the self-serve bar.

How do the pepperoni and spicy fusilli pizzas taste?
First up were the pepperoni pizza and the spicy fusilli pizza! (By the way, each slice is seriously huge, haha.)

The pepperoni pizza was the textbook American-style pizza. Salty pepperoni and rich cheese worked together, and the chewy dough was great too. The toppings were generous, so even one slice felt very satisfying.
The spicy fusilli pizza had a unique name and was just as memorable in person. The spiciness and the texture of fusilli pasta came together for a charm different from ordinary pizza! It cut through the richness that pizza can sometimes have, so I enjoyed it to the very end.

How do the American Bulbeok and Lotus brown potato pizzas taste?
Next were the brown potato pizza and the American Bulbeok pizza!

The American Bulbeok pizza is loaded with bulgogi (marinated beef). Hearty toppings and deep flavor were its signature, and the ingredients' taste came through with every bite, which I loved. Korean bulgogi meets American pizza, a collab!

The brown potato pizza is said to be the world's first Lotus pizza. It's a sweet-and-salty pizza with sweet, rich Lotus flavor topped with mashed potato salad. When I tried it, it felt like a dessert pizza, haha.

If you're curious about the Lotus and potato salad combo, give it a try :)

How was the mac & cheese side?
The mac & cheese (₩11,900) I ordered as a side was better than I expected. It's packed with thick, gooey cheese sauce, so I'd recommend it to cheese lovers. It went even better with the pizza and made the meal more filling.

Tips on pickles and the self-serve bar
Raymond Isu Branch also has pickled radish (mu-pickle) to cut the richness, but you have to ask the owner separately for it. The radish pickles are so good!

This is the self-serve bar! It has the tableware, sauces, tissues and so on that you need.
What's good about ordering by the slice at Raymond Isu Branch?
The biggest plus of Raymond Isu Branch is that you can order by the slice. Pizza restaurants usually make you order a whole pie, but here you can try lots of kinds a little at a time, which makes choosing fun. If you come with a group, each person can order something different and share.
The atmosphere is nice and the food quality satisfied me, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant near Isu Station. If you want pizza with beer, or you love American-style pizza, it's worth a visit at least once.
Overall verdict

If you're looking for a great pizza place near Isu Station, I recommend Raymond Isu Branch. Next time I plan to enjoy more pizza menus together with craft beer.
