On the Rail in Munsan, Paju is a late-night café with a great railway-track view, where you can enjoy a wide range of drinks and tasty bakery items.

On the Rail has recently been getting buzz among couples as a good date spot, and the reason is the late hours!! The café stays open until 2 AM every day, so you can relax and have a late-night café date even after work.
On the Rail's interior and outdoor terrace

I liked On the Rail even more because it has both a bright, clean indoor space and an outdoor terrace with beautiful natural scenery.
White-toned interior and group seating

First, the interior is a tidy white-toned design with lush green plants and vintage props, so it feels cute and cozy at the same time.

There are tables for 2, tables for 4 and even group seating, so couples, families, gatherings and big groups are all welcome~!! The windows are big, so you can see the scenery outside really well, and it never feels stuffy!
Outdoor terrace and the ₩20,000 fire pit zone
Next up, the gorgeous outdoor terrace~~~ Now that the weather is warming up, the plants are getting lush, and there's a small mountain behind, so a nature-healing session is totally possible~~!!
The tables on the terrace have parasols that give nice cool shade, and it feels like being at a café in Southeast Asia, haha.
On one side of the outdoor area there's also a fire pit zone, so at night you can have a proper camping-mood fire-gazing time (bulmeong)! The fire pit at On the Rail costs ₩20,000!

2nd-floor terrace and the railway photo spot
Besides the lawn area there's also a 2nd-floor terrace, and for safety children aren't allowed up there~ You can see the surroundings and the quiet railway scenery well, so it looked like a good place for couples to sit!
And the highlight of On the Rail and its most popular photo spot: the bench in front of the tracks~~ It feels like being in a small Japanese town!!
There are so many pretty spots all around, so it's a great place for taking amazing photos~~ The tracks at the entrance especially look stunning at sunset, but I only noticed on my way home and didn't get a photo, which I regret so much..!! Make sure you take one!!!
What drinks and bakery items does On the Rail have?

On the Rail is packed with bread and cakes, plus drinks like coffee, lattes, ades and smoothies. When I choose a café, places that sell bakery items come first, and On the Rail is heaven for a bread lover~~!!
The breads range from plain ones that go well with coffee, to toast and sausage bread that work as a meal, to cookies that kids love!!

In the showcase next to the bread shelves there are visually explosive tarts and cakes, whipped-cream croissants and lots of other desserts that hit women right in the heart!

The drinks come in a wide variety: coffee, all kinds of lattes, ades, teas, smoothies and kids' drinks, and there's also a summer-only watermelon juice~!
I'd definitely eaten a meal beforehand and planned to have only a drink, but I couldn't resist how the bread looked, so I bought some!!! And it wasn't just once. I paid for extra desserts three whole times, shh, it's a secret..! My wallet and my stomach were screaming for mercy, but I ignored them and bought a ton!
Drinks at On the Rail for a siblings' get-together

It was our first siblings' get-together in a long time, with the "bread-loving family"~!!! With my sister-in-law, my husband and the nieces and nephews all together, we had a whole table of drinks! Getting to taste lots of things is actually a plus~
Iced Americano and apocato
For coffee we ordered an iced Americano and an apocato (affogato). Maybe they use good beans, because the shot wasn't sour at all, just nutty and rich!!!
The apocato at On the Rail looks and tastes great, so I really recommend it as a date drink~~!! Pour the bittersweet, nutty shot over sweet vanilla ice cream and this is heaven!!

Milk tea, chocolate latte, blue lemon ade and grapefruit ade
For non-coffee drinks we ordered milk tea and a chocolate latte. The milk tea was just okay, and the chocolate latte tasted like Hershey's chocolate! It was my sister-in-law's pick, and she downed it in one go the moment it arrived, lol.
For ades we ordered the blue lemon ade and the grapefruit ade, and look at those colors~~ They're so pretty I couldn't not take photos!!

The grapefruit ade in particular got a bite from everyone who came along, and everyone raved that it was really good~~!! If you can't drink coffee, definitely order this!!

Bakery picks from three rounds at On the Rail
Round 1: salt bread, green onion cheese toast, train-shaped cookie
The first bread tray held salt bread, green onion cheese toast, and a train-shaped cookie that suits On the Rail so well.
The salt bread was plain and simple, and the green onion cheese toast tastes even better if you heat it in the microwave in the store~ The train-shaped cookie is sandwiched with chocolate cream, so it's great with an Americano~ The cookie shape is so cute, right~? haha

Round 2: Train Sand cookie and butter bars
For the second tray I picked a Train Sand cookie and 2 butter bars, and this is truly a seriously tasty combo..!! They're desserts that go perfectly with coffee.

The Train Sand cookie in particular was, like the grapefruit ade, something everyone said was delicious!! Nutty and sweet, and so addictive!! A must-order!
Round 3: the fruit tart my nephew picked
The last bread order was the fruit tart my nephew chose! The looks alone won it~~!! The strawberries were out of season and a little sour, but the other fruits were super fresh and sweet~ The blueberries on the tart bursting in your mouth were just unreal!!
