Daegu café with Kumho River views and waffles: Hands Coffee
In short
Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a café in Dong-gu, Daegu, with seating from the second to fourth floors. I had coffee, a cream roll bread, and a chewy chocolate banana waffle; the river view, roomy seating, and waffle with soft cream stood out.

Where is Dongchon Resort, and where do you order?
I went to Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch (핸즈커피 동촌유원지점) at Dongchon Resort for coffee and bread. Its address is 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu, and the hours listed in the original post were 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.

The café operated across three floors, from the second through fourth floors. I ordered on the second floor, then could sit on whichever floor I wanted. An elevator and stairs connected the floors, and the second floor also had plenty of spacious, comfortable seating.
What was on the menu besides waffles?
There were three brunch sets. While ordering, I saw many people having brunch served on two-tier trays. I chose coffee and waffles this time, and there was a wide range of drinks, including coffee, Dutch coffee, tea, milk drinks, and fruit drinks.

Next to the second-floor ordering area was a display where I could see and choose cakes and waffles in person. There was also a kiosk at the front.

They also sold a set with old-style bingsu (shaved ice), Hands House Brunch, and two long blacks. I did not try the brunch myself.
Where are the best seats for Kumho River views?
After ordering, I looked around for a seat, starting on the fourth floor. It had indoor seating and an outdoor terrace, with Dongchon Resort and the Kumho River visible in front. The view improved on the higher floors, and a cool breeze made the terrace pleasant on the day I visited.

One side of the fourth floor also had floor seating along the windows. The outdoor view was visible from there as well. Overall, the tables were well spaced, so it was comfortable for a quiet conversation.

What was the third-floor seating like?
The third floor had different chair and table arrangements at each seat. It felt calm and comfortable, making it a good place to rest while looking out at the view. There also seemed to be plenty of tables and seats.

How were the chocolate banana waffle and cream roll bread?
I first received an iced Americano, apple juice, and cream roll bread. The roll had plenty of whipped cream, and its soft cream went well with the coffee.

The chocolate banana waffle came with a glutinous rice waffle, banana, and Häagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream. The banana was soft, and unlike an ordinary waffle, the waffle had a chewy texture. I also had it with whipped cream and chocolate chips.

I liked cutting the waffle and dipping it into the soft whipped cream. The chocolate ice cream was also good, and it paired well with coffee.

The cream roll bread was soft not only in the cream but also in the bread itself. On this visit, the Kumho River view, spacious seating, and chewy waffle with coffee were what I remembered most.
