How did the texture and cleansing feel on dehydrated combination skin?

After finishing my cleansing milk, I switched over to a cleansing balm. It was very soft from the moment I scooped it out with the spatula inside the lid, and it spread over my face like melted butter. It felt closer to spreading butter than using a slippery cleansing oil.

I do not usually wear heavy makeup, but I tested stubborn eyeliner on the back of my hand. Compared with a regular foam cleanser, this product felt like it removed it more cleanly.

How moisturizing was it after washing, and did it sting the eyes?

For me, cleansing power, no eye stinging, moisture after washing, no skin irritation, and smoother skin texture all earned 5 out of 5. I rated sebum removal 3.8, and it felt as though it melted away blackheads and whiteheads.

Nothing in the ingredient list immediately seemed problematic to me, but allergies and skin condition can vary from person to person, so I left the ingredient rating at 4. The soft texture did not feel irritating while I used it.

Is double cleansing necessary?

Because the formula adheres closely to the skin, I liked how moisturized my skin felt after cleansing. But on days when I did not rinse it off thoroughly or skipped double cleansing, one or two breakouts appeared. Double cleansing suited me better when I used this product.

How did it compare with other cleansing balms I have used?

Compared with other cleansing balms I had used, the eye comfort and sebum removal felt similar. The HEEDA balm was more moisturizing and buttery as it spread, while the other products had a slightly thicker, waxier texture.

That said, because it is so moisturizing, the HEEDA balm can leave a slightly stronger feeling of residue. I plan to keep using the HEEDA cleansing balm for its scent and cleansing feel, but satisfaction may differ depending on whether you double cleanse.
