Why I came to Salon de L before the first birthday party

With my child's first birthday party coming up, my hair was stuck in that awkward in-between length (what Koreans call the "beggar zone"), so I headed to Salon de L (살롱드엘) on the 2nd floor of Tenzhill Mall in Wangsimni. I figured the party was the perfect excuse to give my look a makeover.

Between taking the twins to and from daycare, my skin has been tanning and my hair has gotten damaged and frizzy. I cut it and got a layered cut a few months ago, but as it grew out, the layers actually started to look messy. Cut it or grow it out? The beggar-zone dilemma

My designer analyzed my hair type, face shape and overall image, then cut it to a length that suited me before doing the perm. Whenever my hair hits the beggar zone, I always agonize: cut it again..? Or grow it out? I bet a lot of women can relate. And since the party was coming up, cutting it shorter for a neat look and getting a perm seemed like a good idea!

They also set out snacks to go with a cold americano. The weather's so hot these days that an iced americano is a must for me, haha.

Is a setting perm gentle on fine hair?

This is me mid-perm... haha. Don't I look so much like Medusa~? Still, I waited, looking forward to looking prettier, hehe... Honestly, after giving birth I still haven't lost all the weight and my face suddenly looks older, so my self-esteem had been dropping and dropping~?

But my designer figured out my face shape, features and hair characteristics and started with a cut at a length that fit my face, and seriously.. I looked so much prettier with just the cut?! Wow.. you can really feel a true professional's touch at this Tenzhill salon.

How the cut and setting perm turned out

After the haircut and setting perm at Salon de L, the length was lightly shortened, and the messy layers and heavy thickness were neatly tidied up. It's been crazy hot lately, and they thinned out a lot of my hair, so suddenly I felt so cool~ With the shorter length, it's just right for getting through a hot summer.

The reason I recommend Salon de L is... seriously, they gave me a style I absolutely love. With a professional touch, they quickly pick up on a customer's features, find the style that suits them best, and style it, so I really can't not recommend it!

The party was the very next day, and my family all complimented me on how pretty I looked.
