Sharing a lovely meal and a glass of wine with a good person under soft, stylish lighting is always special, haha! Today I visited Romaok Magok, an Italian dining spot near Magok famous for its interior, atmosphere and original dishes, and a Magongnaru favorite. The moment I walked in, the elegant, refined interior caught my eye~ Once I was shown to my neatly set table, I felt happy excitement and anticipation before the meal had even started🤗
Romaok Magok location and how to get there
Romaok Magok is on the 3rd floor of LG Arts Center Seoul, 136 Magokjungang-ro, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. It is open 11:00–21:30 (break time 15:00–17:00). Parking is free for 120 minutes.

Magongnaru Station and LG Arts Center Seoul are connected, so you can take the escalator up to the 3rd floor, or come out of Exit 4 and the big building is right there. It's an easy place to find, haha!

Go into LG Arts Center Seoul, ride the escalator up to the 3rd floor, turn right and walk all the way in, and you'll see an entrance that looks like Italy itself!

It's a Blue Ribbon restaurant, the badge of a great eatery, so I was looking forward to it! There was a stylish menu board at the entrance too👍
Romaok Magok atmosphere: a good spot for blind dates and gatherings?
The ceiling is high, which makes the wide hall feel even bigger, and with stool seats in front of the kitchen and a group area at the back, it looked workable for everything from dates to get-togethers. Inside, a friendly staff member escorted me. It was already full~ lots of reservations and lots of walk-ins too✔️
There were stool seats in front of the kitchen, and the whole vibe felt like being in Italy, haha! (I haven't been to Italy yet, going soon🤣)

Maybe because the mood is so good, lots of people were on blind dates... haha. It's a blind-date hotspot👏

There was also a space at the back that can hold groups! It looked like all kinds of gatherings would work, haha.
At LG Arts Center Seoul, the musical Dracula starring Xia Junsu was running! Maybe that's why the lobby was packed, haha. Lots of people came to Romaok Magok to eat before and after the show~
Romaok Magok menu and what I ordered
Romaok Magok is an Italian restaurant with everything from salad-type appetizers to pasta, risotto, steak, dessert and wine. I ordered the 'Eclipse squid ink risotto' (₩25,000) and the 'mushroom truffle cream pasta' (₩26,000).

They sell a wide range of Italian dishes, from salad-style appetizers to pasta, risotto and even steak! There was dessert too, and plenty of drinks like wine, haha.

After a long deliberation, I ordered the 'Eclipse squid ink risotto' (₩25,000) and the 'mushroom truffle cream pasta' (₩26,000)! For the squid ink risotto you can choose regular or mild seasoning✔️

Romaok Magok had dishes in collaboration with the musical Dracula! The risotto I ordered was one of them, haha. They said a special discount was running too💯
Welcome bread: scallion ciabatta and pickles
After ordering, Romaok Magok brought out warm 'scallion ciabatta' with olive sauce. The neat setting alone got me excited, haha. Since it was warmed, it was soft, and the scallion aroma was so good, haha.

They also served the pickles you'd miss if they weren't there, neatly presented!

How is the mushroom truffle cream pasta?
The mushroom truffle cream pasta (₩26,000) at Romaok Magok uses wide, round noodles like cannelloni (stuffed pasta tubes), so the texture was great. This was the mushroom truffle pasta I'd been waiting and waiting for, and the truffle aroma and the cream were a perfect match👏

Dracula collaboration: Eclipse squid ink risotto
The Eclipse squid ink risotto (₩25,000) is Romaok Magok's collaboration dish that evokes Dracula, and the staff told me it's even better eaten with the seafood and cherry tomatoes! Sure enough, the texture of the seafood and the risotto went so well together that I did my happy furrowed-brow face😍

The lightly blanched cuttlefish was so tender and delicious!

Wine pairing: Eleventh Hour Cellars Pinot Noir
What a view, it makes you happy just looking at it... haha. I also ordered a glass of 'Eleventh Hour Cellars Pinot Noir' (₩15,000) and paired it with the food👍

Free dessert after 7pm: Crimson Moon semifreddo
At the time of my visit, Romaok Magok said it gave customers a free dessert after 7pm👏 I'd been eating so frantically that only empty bowls were left.. I was sadly scraping the empty bowl for nothing when it arrived at exactly the right moment.

It was a dessert called 'Crimson Moon semifreddo (half-frozen dessert)', and since it was the Dracula collaboration period, it seemed to be a menu made for that!

They made meringue into ice cream and served it with nuts and berry sauce, and it was so good.. the fresh taste that wipes away the richness of the cream and the crunch of the nuts were a perfect match💯

And of course I'm scraping an empty plate again.. dishes done today too✌️
Parking at Romaok Magok
In the LG Arts Center Seoul building where Romaok Magok is, you could park free for 2 hours, and parking time could be combined with other facilities in the building✔️
Verdict: a Magongnaru Italian restaurant for dates and anniversaries
The blend of original flavors on a traditional Italian style and fresh ingredients was enough to impress me with every bite, haha. Chatting away over a glass of wine that suited the food, I was so happy I lost track of time~
Romaok Magok has all three: excellent flavor, attentive service and a romantic atmosphere, making it a perfect place for a date, an anniversary or a formal gathering! If you want a more emotional, special dining experience in Magok this evening, I strongly recommend heading to Romaok Magok without hesitation!😊
