Found a café full of sunlight through a huge window in an alley near Daeheung Station !! Went to Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch ♥︎

This Daeheung Station café sits in a peaceful alley, and the sunlight pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling window made my mind feel at ease just by sitting there..! ♬

From the signature basil milk tea to a rich caffe latte, Basque cheesecake, and a warmly heated choco cookie..! My boyfriend Choco and I both left more satisfied than we expected haha

Sunlight streamed in through the huge window, making the whole café look bright and warm. That drowsy, peaceful vibe unique to well-lit cafés was totally there!!

Menu prices and the four drip coffee beans

Coffee menu items at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch run ₩4,000–5,000. The signature basil milk tea, along with cream almond and almond latte, are around ₩5,000, and even the non-coffee options for people who can't drink coffee are in the ₩5,000 range! Considering it's near Sogang University, it's not that expensive of a café haha

They hand-brew drip coffee too, with four types of beans available — Colombia, Cameroon, Ethiopia, and Timor-Leste haha

I ordered a walnut pecan chocolate cookie,

and also got the Basque cheesecake!! There was also a refreshing lemon cake (₩6,000) in the showcase that day — good to pick if you're craving something tangy!

For drinks we got the basil milk tea (₩5,500) and caffe latte (₩4,500) — two cups !! We sat by the window and waited for our order haha

It wasn't long before our order arrived haha

What does the signature basil milk tea taste like?

The menu item I was most looking forward to at Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch was the. Basil. Milk tea (₩5,500)! I love basil so much that I picked it the moment I saw it on the menu, no hesitation haha

One sip in, and the fragrant flavor of basil spread through a rich black tea base..♥

On top was a soft, cloud-like white foam, and the combo of basil aroma + milk tea + milk foam was way more harmonious than I expected!! 0_0 The sweet, smooth milk tea finished with a clean, fragrant basil note that made it so refreshing to drink. If you love basil, this is somewhere you can only taste it.. I definitely recommend trying it~~!

A caffe latte pulled dark and full-bodied

My coffee-loving boyfriend Choco ordered the caffe latte (₩4,500)!! The espresso wasn't watered down at all — the bean's own flavor came through strong, and he was very satisfied lol

A classic latte taste — the milk's nuttiness followed by a heavy, bittersweet coffee note lingering behind. It was great on its own, but paired with a sweet dessert it really shone haha

How moist is the Basque cheesecake?

The Basque cheesecake (₩5,700) had zero dryness — pure moistness!! Touch it lightly with a fork and it splits apart softly, melting creamily the moment it hits your mouth!!

A sip of rich caffe latte followed by a bite of cheesecake — what a dream combo..? This place is basically a Basque cheesecake specialist lol

The walnut pecan chocolate cookie, warmed in the oven

Dessert felt a bit lacking so we ordered an extra walnut pecan chocolate cookie (₩4,300). But this turned out to be the real twist of the day!! When you order it, they warm it up fresh in the oven ~ before serving.

The moment we split it in half, the chocolate packed inside melted softly — it really felt like a freshly baked cookie!! ♥♥♥ The rich, sweet chocolate paired with the crunchy bite of walnuts and pecans was exactly the kind of flavor that. Calls. For coffee lol

Personally, of all the desserts I had that day, the walnut pecan chocolate cookie was the supreme ruler..👍 They also had a white macadamia cookie, so I'm definitely trying that next time haha

Is Ieo Coffee Roasters a good date café near Daeheung Station?

Fragrant basil milk tea, a nutty latte, moist cheesecake, and a warm choco cookie — this place had it all. Best of all, I could enjoy a leisurely café date with my boyfriend basking in warm sunlight, and I was very satisfied.
