Why did I choose it as a supplement for a growing child?
It wasn’t easy to make sure my child got every nutrient they needed through meals every day. After hearing from our pediatrician that calcium intake could be insufficient through food alone, I compared several products and chose The Day Cal-Mag-D Plus K2.

How did I manage one packet a day?
This product is described as putting calcium, magnesium, vitamin D3, and vitamin K2 into one packet. I used to end up negotiating with my child when it came to taking several pills separately, so having one packet at a time was convenient. I gave it after breakfast, and it didn’t feel like a burden even during busy school-morning preparations.
What did I look at in the ingredients and raw materials?
I looked at the calcium-to-magnesium ratio. The product description says the two are blended at a 2:1 ratio, and I also considered the ingredients included alongside calcium when choosing it.

Since this was a product for a growing child, I also paid close attention to the ingredient information. The product introduction’s statement that its main ingredients were blended at a premium grade influenced my choice.
What form of vitamin K2 does it use?
It was introduced as using vitamin K2 in the trans MK-7 form. I was impressed that it explained not just the ingredient name but also the form of the raw material.

Did the country of origin affect my choice?
The product description explicitly states that it does not use ingredients from Japan or China. I tend to check where ingredients come from too, so that information influenced my final choice.
Did my child take it well for about 2 weeks?
I gave it to my child consistently for about 2 weeks. The stick-pack format made it easy to take with water, and my child had no resistance to the taste and took it well.

Because I only had to take out one packet each day, it didn’t take long to establish the habit of taking a supplement. What felt especially convenient during this trial was that my child accepted the taste well and that the daily routine was simple.

How was it when managing several supplements separately felt cumbersome?
For me, someone who found it cumbersome to split up several pills, the one-packet format with its ingredients together was a good fit. I also looked over the ingredient information when choosing it, but the benefit I noticed most while actually giving it was how easy it was to manage one packet every morning.
