My husband and I were out on a date in Euljiro after a long while, looking for a Euljiro 3-ga restaurant that pairs well with wine, and we ended up at Pyu Euljiro — which is apparently also a hot spot for Euljiro blind dates these days — and enjoyed the restaurant's great atmosphere. We had a reservation, and by evening the place was packed with reserved guests, couples and friends alike, and especially a lot of people on blind dates, so much so that I got secondhand butterflies just watching. It's really a wine spot with a mood and vibe that makes conversation easy.

Before I dive into the full post, let me share a preview of what we ate at Pyu Euljiro, this wine restaurant I'd recommend for a Euljiro date or blind date spot: the garden tomato risotto, crispy eggplant fries, and the Four Seasons ice cream sorbet we had for dessert. Tot-tot-tot-tot, here we go!

Where is Pyu Euljiro, and how do parking and hours work?
Pyu Euljiro, this Euljiro date restaurant, is located at 27 Mareunnae-ro, 1st floor, Unit 102, Jung-gu, Seoul, near Exit 11 of Euljiro 3-ga Station. Business hours are daily from 11:00 to 21:00.
If you're driving, just search 'Tower107' or 'Pyu' in your navigation to find the parking lot. Parking is free for the first hour, so keep that in mind. Euljiro doesn't have a lot of parking spaces, so finding a spot when you drive can be a whole ordeal — but Pyu Euljiro lets you park without any stress, which makes it perfect for a date.

Inside the 70-pyeong dining room, and the corkage rules
Walking into Pyu Euljiro, a beautifully atmospheric restaurant unfolded in front of me. It's a large 70-pyeong contemporary dining space that can also accommodate groups, with tables and lighting that create a nice mood for quiet conversation on a date or blind date. The menu is designed to pair well with wine, and corkage is free for one bottle with no restriction on the type of alcohol — anything over one bottle costs an extra ₩20,000 per bottle — so if you happen to have a good wine or liquor on hand, it's a great place to bring it and pair it with the food.

I visited in the evening, and for dinner service, ordering alcohol is required — they have house wine and beer available, and for those who can't drink, non-alcoholic options are also prepared, so you can enjoy your food with a drink in a relaxed atmosphere either way. I sat down at my reserved table and looked over the menu, and there's a SHARE SET option that lets two people try a variety of dishes — great if you're the type who wants to try a bit of everything.

What's on the menu at Pyu Euljiro?
Pyu Euljiro's menu spans pasta and risotto, main dishes, small dishes, and desserts, so it took some thought deciding what to order. There's a Spanish mackerel pasta you don't see often, plus a bisque pasta, ragu pasta, truffle mushroom risotto, and the garden tomato risotto I ordered. For mains, there's yuzu grilled chicken thigh, charcoal-grilled octopus with romesco, seasonal fish steak, and striploin steak. And for small dishes, there's scorched tomato, truffle smashed potato, crispy eggplant fries, and more — such a great range of options.
Honestly, I came for pasta, but once I saw the menu there were so many other things I wanted to try, so I started with the garden tomato risotto and crispy eggplant fries.

Cheongdam-dong Myeoneuri beer
For a drink, I tried the Cheongdam-dong Myeoneuri (Cheongdam-dong Daughter-in-Law) beer, a favorite among many at Pyu Euljiro. I came here for wine, but I wanted something cool and refreshing, so I went with beer instead.

It wasn't your typical beer flavor, which I liked, and it was clean and smooth going down, so it was easy to just keep sipping away.

All the dishes I ordered arrived, and the delicious smell wafting up made it impossible to hold off from digging in.

What does the garden tomato risotto taste like?
First up, one of Pyu Euljiro's signature dishes — the garden tomato risotto — is a clean-tasting tomato risotto where the freshness of the tomato sauce shines through alongside various grilled vegetables. It's made with barley, and the chewy texture of the barley went really well with the tomato sauce.

It's topped with grilled eggplant, tomato, and cheese, and the soft texture of the grilled vegetables paired nicely with the pop of the barley grains.

The grilled vegetables came out sweet, soft, and well-cooked, so eating them together with the risotto made the tomato's freshness stand out even more.

Crispy eggplant fries with fish cream sauce
The crispy eggplant fries I ordered to go with the beer are thinly sliced eggplant fried crisp on the outside.

There's a generous amount of fish cream sauce piled on top, and combined with the soft texture of the eggplant, that signature tender bite of eggplant came through even more clearly.

Dessert: the Four Seasons ice cream sorbet
Finally, we ordered dessert too — the Four Seasons ice cream sorbet, which changes its base with the seasons so you get a new flavor each time. When I visited, it was tomato ice cream topped with watermelon and basil as garnish, so I got to finish the meal on an even fresher note.
If you're looking for a good spot in Euljiro for a date or blind date with a glass of wine, why not consider Pyu Euljiro, located near Euljiro 3-ga Station? It's a restaurant where you can enjoy great food and pleasant conversation in a clean, comfortable atmosphere.
