Yongin monkfish stew restaurant, medium level 2 spicy agu-jjim: Nojak

Nojak Jinseong Agu-jjim Yongin Suji District Office Branch is a sizzling-plate monkfish stew (agu-jjim) restaurant on Pungdeokcheon-ro 139beon-gil in Suji-gu, Yongin. On a weekday evening the writer parked at Suji-gu Office, walked over and shared a small sizzling-plate agu-jjim (34,000 won) at spice level 2 for two, plus free opening-event fried rice, and the portion was big enough to be the day's one meal. Level 2 at Nojak Jinseong is a true medium heat, right for anyone who wants agu-jjim pleasantly spicy but not fiery.

Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Gorim Branch (옛날경성순대국 고림본점) is a sundaeguk (Korean blood sausage soup) restaurant on Hanteo-ro in Cheoin-gu, Yongin. On a late-evening visit with no wait, the writer ordered one spicy sundaeguk set in regular (₩14,000) and one in special (₩16,000), served with chal-sundae (sticky rice blood sausage) and suyuk (boiled pork); the broth was deep and spicy with no gamey smell, and the sundae was generously filled. With uncooked takeout at ₩16,000 for 2 servings, Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Gorim Branch is a good-value spot worth revisiting.

Yubok Kalguksu is a good-value spot for a full meal of clean pufferfish-broth noodles and a chive pancake packed with jjukkumi.
