Driving up toward Palgongsan, the whole area feels like a forest the moment you arrive. Pine trees crowd in tightly, and independent spaces sit scattered among them, so it felt more like arriving at a campground than a restaurant in the city.

The spot we used was one of the triangular private spaces, and opening the door revealed a table and chairs already set up. My kid was going in and out the moment we arrived, playing comfortably.

After buying meat, ramyeon, rice, kimchi, and ssamu, we grabbed a trash bag and headed to our table. They even give you water for the ramyeon in a bottle, which was simple and nice.

After the initial charcoal sear, the meat gets finished off on an indoor burner. Since the searing happens outside over charcoal, it really added to the camping feel.

My son ate, went back out to play, then came back to eat more — going back and forth to fill up.

Meat really does taste better grilled outside. Wrapped in a lettuce leaf with kimchi on the side, it was fantastic.
