How to get to Chef Cho in Sweet Park from Express Bus Terminal Station

Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam is directly connected to Express Bus Terminal Station. The accessibility really could not be better. Go down to B1 and you’ll find Sweet Park, the dessert hall, with Chef Cho inside.

It was easy to find because it sits near the center of Sweet Park’s main walkway. Every cake displayed in the showcase was so glamorous and pretty that my eyes naturally went straight to them as I passed.

Apparently Chef Jo Jeong-im has run this brand for 23 years, and the cake lineup had that reassuring sense of experience. Seeing rows of cakes generously topped with fruit, I just couldn’t look away... Happiness just from looking... 🤗

Picking up the Real Mango Rose Cake

From the moment I picked it up, the weight was no joke. The mango was layered up to form a rose, to the point that I thought, is this whole thing mango..? Purely moving... 🥹

🫶 From the aroma alone, a bright mango scent burst out—it was the fresh, lively fragrance of real fruit, with not even a hint of anything artificial. The moment I cut a slice and took the first bite, the soft fresh cream and sweet-tart mango spread through my mouth together. The cream was light rather than heavy, so it didn’t get in the way of the mango’s sweet-tart flavor; it actually made it shine.

They say it uses 100% animal-based fresh cream, and it went down so softly and cleanly. Every slice was full of mango flesh—so much so that it was amazing they could use mango this generously. They say this is a brand truly serious about bringing out the natural flavor of its ingredients, and after tasting it, I get it! It was such a happy flavor... I couldn’t help saying it.

Mango lovers, and anyone looking for a good-looking cake piled high with fruit, would be totally won over! It was large too, so I thought it would be great to share generously at a family gathering or anniversary celebration.
Why I recommend it for birthdays and celebrations

It was one of those evenings when I wondered if a single cake could really make me this happy. If you’re looking for something special instead of an ordinary cake for a birthday or anniversary, I’d recommend Chef Cho’s Real Mango Rose Cake. Anyone who loves a cake with fruit piled on generously is sure to be satisfied. Next time, I absolutely have to try the fig and pistachio cake too.
