Pangyo weekend brunch before a friend's dental work: risotto, Andover

I went to Andover, a brunch spot on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street in Pangyo, with friends on the weekend! I've tried a bunch of pretty restaurants in Pangyo and not many of them struck me as that delicious, but I finally found a seriously amazing pasta place… The atmosphere is great and the food is good, so I saved it to go back again ♪ ♬ ヾ(´︶`♡)ﾉ ♬ ♪ My friends were all happy with it too 🖤

Andover opening hours and location in Pangyo

Andover is on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street in Pangyo (10-7 Pangyoyeok-ro 10beon-gil, 1st floor), and it's open 11:30-22:00 on both weekdays and weekends. On weekdays there's a break time from 15:30, and it's closed every Monday.

There are loads of brunch spots and cafés around here, but Andover is the real deal, it was sooo good!!! I finally found a proper Pangyo gem in a long while ✩‧₊˚

Where to park on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street at the weekend

Andover offers 1 hour of free parking at the Baekhyeon-dong Café Street public parking lot, and you can also park in the alley near the restaurant. But on a weekend, either arrive right at opening or go straight to the public lot..!

When I went right at opening to another place before, alley parking was easy, but this time I went after lunch and even the public lot was packed. Alley parking? Don't even dream of it haha

On a nice day, I'd recommend Andover's outdoor tables too.

The inside of Andover is great too! I wondered why I hadn't known about a place like this in Baekhyeon-dong, Pangyo. The space isn't cramped, and with its big picture windows it doesn't feel too dark even though the interior is black-toned.

Andover is a total must for a Pangyo date or get-together! The food is really good and the atmosphere is nice too ༉‧₊˚✧

Andover also sells homemade sauces and meal kits. That alone made me think, how good must the food be? Everyone tried it and said they could see why they sell them haha

What we ordered at Andover

You order with the QR code on the table, which was convenient. The three of us ordered the three dishes below! The shrimp bisque pasta could be chosen in a spicy version.

Our dishes came out almost all at once. From the looks and smell alone, they seemed really delicious! Each of us got pickles too, but nothing was greasy at all, so I didn't even taste the pickles;; I'm going back to Andover soon…

Mushroom cream risotto: good even if you don't like risotto?

I ordered Andover's mushroom cream risotto because one of my friends had dental treatment coming up, and it was really good...!!

Honestly, I don't like porridge or risotto and that sort of thing. But a risotto with a rich sauce like this is different 𓏧 And the big, well-grilled mushrooms were so good! Grilled mushrooms and arugula went really well with Andover's soft, mild cream sauce.

Plump mushrooms and soft, rich cream risotto. The mushroom flavor comes through and goes so well with the cream sauce, it's rea-lly good 💛 Next time at Pangyo's Andover I'll order the risotto again ('༥'๑)𐩢𐩺('༥'๑)

Spicy shrimp bisque pasta: how hot is the spicy option?

Andover's shrimp bisque pasta (spicy) was the one I picked after agonizing, because so many pastas looked good! And it was such a success that I wolfed it down without leaving a bite.

It comes with 3 big shrimp on top 🦐 🤎 The pasta has grilled whole shrimp and garlic scapes in a long-simmered bisque sauce, and you can order it spicy like we did.

It's slightly salty and spicy, so even people who can't handle heat can enjoy it! I don't usually like thick pasta noodles, but these went well with the sauce and were tasty. Full of savory depth, it's a Pangyo pasta gem! My pasta-obsessed friend said it was really delicious too haha I think anyone would be happy coming here (⸝⸝ ´𐋣`⸝⸝)

Andover lasagna: why it was our best dish

Last up is the Andover lasagna, which seemed to be the best dish ❤ After reading reviews before visiting, we decided we had to order the lasagna, and sure enough it was generous and delicious.

The lasagna is layered with homemade ragù sauce, cheese and béchamel cream, and I liked that it was big to begin with. It's packed with real meat, so it was super filling!

Rich ragù with the cheese-and-meat combo, this is truly never-a-miss… It tastes as good as it looks and doesn't get heavy.

Would we go back to Andover?

At Andover we ordered pasta, risotto and lasagna, all different, and all three were rea-lly good, so we were very satisfied 💖 With its nice atmosphere, it's a great Baekhyeon-dong Café Street spot for a Pangyo get-together or date! The owner was very kind too, and every dish was delicious overall.

I definitely want to go back. We said we'd come again with friends, but I think I'll take my mom, older sister and younger sibling too haha A real Pangyo pasta place that makes you think of your family when you eat something good (ﾉﾞ⌯'⌄'⌯)ﾉﾞ* It doesn't seem very famous yet, but I wonder if Andover will soon be a place with a waiting line? I totally recommend Andover in Pangyo 🩶
