In short

The writer booked Ugojip for a company dinner and ordered salchisal (chuck flap, 17,000 won), anchangsal (outside skirt, 18,000 won), chadolbagi (beef brisket) and chadol doenjang jjigae, then brought wine in under the corkage-free policy and had it poured into proper glass wine glasses. While looking for a beef grill house near Express Bus Terminal, I want to introduce Ugojip, a Korean BBQ restaurant I visited in Banpo for a company dinner.
It's known among Banpo BBQ spots for being corkage-free, so it might be useful for anyone hunting for a group dinner or gathering spot!
It's walkable from Express Bus Terminal Station, so it was convenient for a company dinner or a meetup with friends, and I booked it after seeing decent reviews while searching for beef restaurants in Banpo.
Where is Ugojip? The basement of Banpo Shopping Town Building 5

It's located in the basement of Banpo Shopping Town Building 5, near Express Bus Terminal Station.
You have to navigate through the underground arcade's signboards to find it, so first-timers should remember the building name, Banpo Shopping Town Building 5, to avoid getting lost.

Inside Ugojip: a room that seats a 36-person company dinner
The interior has a dark-toned design with a large screen, making it a good atmosphere for a group dinner.
The tables were well spaced and there were plenty of seats, so it looked like it could easily handle a group dinner.
They can seat groups of up to 36, so if you're looking for a dinner spot in Banpo, I'd recommend booking ahead.
I also liked that the ventilation was good, so the smell of grilled meat didn't cling too much.
Ugojip menu and prices

On the menu, woo samgyeopsal (beef belly) was ₩8,500 per 100g, chadolbagi (beef brisket) ₩9,500 per 100g, tosisal and galbisal ₩14,000 each, salchisal ₩17,000, and anchangsal ₩18,000.
There were also various set menus: the couple set (400g) at ₩49,000, the signature set (600g) at ₩79,000, and the chadolbagi samhap (300g) at ₩39,000.
Two-plus-grade hanwoo yukhoe (raw beef tartare) was ₩26,000, scallop with shell ₩10,000, aged kimchi ₩3,000, perilla leaf tteokbokki ₩9,500, grilled cheese ₩10,000, and chadol doenjang jjigae was ₩8,500.
There was also a good range of meal items — kimchi fried rice ₩6,000, Hong Kong ramyeon ₩7,000, bibim or mul naengmyeon (cold noodles) ₩4,000, and steamed egg ₩5,000 — plus soju and beer at ₩6,000 and ₩8,000, a glass of red wine at ₩8,000, and a glass of white wine at ₩9,000.
What side dishes come with the beef

Shredded scallion salad, myeong-i namul (wild garlic leaf), a green salad, and kimchi all came out as a solid side dish lineup.
Wasabi and salt were also set separately, which was nice for dipping the meat.
None of the sides were too heavily seasoned, so they didn't overpower the flavor of the meat itself.
Corkage-free wine at Ugojip, poured into real wine glasses

Since Ugojip is corkage-free, we brought our own bottle of wine.
A staff member poured the wine for us themselves and served it in glass wine glasses, which let us enjoy it with some atmosphere.
Instead of plastic cups, they set us up with proper glass wine glasses, and you could tell they put thought into it.
If you've been looking for a corkage-free spot among Banpo beef restaurants, I'd recommend Ugojip.

We ordered salchisal, anchangsal, chadolbagi, and chadol doenjang jjigae.
The meat plate came with name tags for each cut, so we never got confused about what we were eating.
It had been a while since I'd been to a Banpo beef restaurant that took this much care to label each cut, so it built trust.
How do the salchisal, anchangsal and brisket taste?

There was a note explaining that anchangsal is a rare cut, with only about 1kg per cow, and that salchisal is also a precious premium cut, produced at under 5kg per cow.
Having these explanation cards for each cut was nice, since even first-time visitors could know what they were eating.
We could also grill vegetables like mushrooms, zucchini, and onion alongside the meat, which was great.
Rather than eating just meat the whole time, alternating with vegetables meant we didn't get sick of it and could enjoy the whole meal.

We grilled in the order of salchisal, anchangsal, then chadolbagi.
These cuts had nice marbling, so the juices came out well once grilled, and the meat was good value while still being tender and delicious.
The anchangsal in particular had a chewy yet tender texture that kept us reaching for more, and the moment the chadolbagi hit the grill, the fat sizzled and a savory smell spread through the whole table — everyone said it was delicious.
Grilling it together with vegetables meant it never felt greasy, and we kept eating.

We wrapped the grilled meat in myeong-i namul, and the salty umami went really well with the meat.
It was also good paired with the shredded scallion salad, which had a nice spicy kick and cut through the richness of the meat, so switching between the side dishes was part of the fun.
Ending the meal with chadol doenjang jjigae

The chadol doenjang jjigae that came out last was packed with tofu, potato, and chadolbagi, so the portion was generous and delicious.
The broth was rich but not too salty, so it was easy to share among several people, and with the beef stock mixed into the spicy broth, it was also perfect as a hangover remedy.
It came out bubbling in a stone pot, which made it the perfect way to wrap up a group dinner.
After grilling meat, finishing off with some rice on the side made for a satisfying end to the meal.
