Why we picked a ring workshop for our Haenggung-dong date

Today's story is about Loventa, a ring workshop and fun thing to do in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. A few days ago I went to Haenggung-dong with my boyfriend. We wanted a different kind of date this time, so I went looking for ideas, and what do you know, there was a place where you make rings!

It's been two years since we got our couple rings, and they've tarnished and picked up lots of scratches, so we hardly wore them anymore! So we decided to go all out and get a new, pretty pair, and off we went.

Loventa is a workshop where you make rings in a private room with a designer of 30 years. It also has a Seongsu branch, and the Haenggung branch is newly opened, so it's a brand-new date hotspot. Since these were replacements, we did wonder about buying branded couple rings, but we really wanted rings the two of us made ourselves.

How much do Loventa couple rings cost?

Couple rings at Loventa Suwon Haenggung average about ₩250,000. I wanted something special but at a reasonable price, pretty and trendy, and since these felt high-end and we could make them together, the price range was just right. Rings that are too cheap are only worth what you pay, so I wanted something special at about the price of a branded couple ring!

A beginner with two left hands: is it okay?

At Loventa an expert does the finishing after the experience, so I could stop worrying about my handiwork. Our previous couple rings were also made at a ring workshop, so we kind of know the process, haha. But here was my worry: last time we stretched the ring size ourselves, and we ruined it, haha... This time I really wanted to get it right, so I researched very carefully. I have two left hands and was scared of messing up, but since an expert does the finishing after the experience, it was perfect.

The private-room atmosphere at Loventa Suwon Haenggung

Loventa Suwon Haenggung isn't an open space; each room has its own closed-off workroom, so it was nice for the two of us to make things cozily together. A ring workshop this pretty... isn't it so pretty?! ㅠㅠ The whole shop is stylish, so I think it's great for young couples who want to make memories.

₩70,000–130,000 per ring: what are they made of?

Loventa's average price is ₩70,000–130,000 per ring. It might look expensive, but they say it feels more premium because they use "top-grade silver" and only moissanite, a diamond alternative!!

Rather than making something cheap and regretting it when you can't wear it for long, make it properly once and keep it for a long time.

Visit after booking, with a view of Haenggung-dong's street

We booked before visiting, and lots of people were making rings there! You could really feel it's a newly trending thing to do in Haenggung-dong. My boyfriend and I put aprons on each other, took photos and waited for the staff, haha.

Loventa's view is a hit too... I think every private room has a little window like this! You can see the lovely street of Haenggung-dong by Suwon Hwaseong Fortress spread out before you, and I just loved it!

The staff does the hammering to stretch the ring size

At Loventa, once you choose the design and measure your size, a staff member stretches the ring to size and brings it to you. A staff member kindly explained everything while we chose the design and measured, so we didn't have to do any hammering to fit the size, which I loved!!!! (We ruined it doing this last year.)

Best of all, because it's a private room, the staff explains and then leaves, so the two of us could chat cozily, haha. You can focus on just the two of you without caring about what's around!

And when you press the call bell, a staff member comes back! Everything went step by step, haha. They explained in detail and complimented us, so I was in a really good mood the whole time, hehe.

Can you bring kids? And how long until it's finished

Making rings at Loventa didn't seem dangerous at all, so I think it'd be fine to bring young children, haha. Couple rings with your child sound lovely too! Above all, making them is really easy to follow along with, and I think that's a huge plus.

You can pick the rings up the same day; we waited about 1 hour 30 minutes before collecting them. Honestly, the finishing steps the two of us did looked so unpretty that I doubted, lol, whether they'd turn out nice, but the moment I got them I was blown away! Because an expert does the finishing and polishing after the experience, the rings turned out really, really pretty!

It's a system where things come out pretty even without handiwork, so it's perfect for 100% beginners. An expert marks everything in detail, one-on-one, throughout the process, so it wasn't hard at all, haha.

A gift bag after finishing, and after-service

After you finish your rings, Loventa gives you one of two bags as a gift! We chose the green bag. They also have a good after-service system, so I think it'd be nice to come back now and then for polishing, haha.

It's been a while since we had such a fun date in Haenggung-dong. These days, making rings as a couple is a great date in itself. Fun, memories and you get to keep the rings too, so it's a perfect date spot! I really, really recommend Loventa to anyone coming to Haenggung-dong for a date :)
