Tablet-order ₩8,000 jajangmyeon at Marine City Chinese: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is a traditional Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Adelis shopping building on Marine City 3-ro in Haeundae, Busan. Using the table tablet, we ordered jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) for 8,000 won, beef brisket jjamppong (spicy noodle soup) for 12,000 won and kkanpung shrimp (crispy shrimp in sweet-spicy garlic sauce) for 35,000 won, eaten with a view of the lively summer-holiday Haeundae sea. With George Nelson bubble lamps, about 100 pyeong (roughly 330 m²) of space and 3 private rooms, Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch works well for both dates and family gatherings.

Today I visited Bueokgan Chinese (BUUK), a spot for authentic Chinese cooking located in Marine City. With its stylish lighting and sleek interior, this place is honestly perfect for either a date or a family gathering.

Inside the 100-pyeong restaurant, bubble lamps and 3 private rooms
The moment I stepped in, the refined atmosphere and thoughtful interior felt completely different from your typical Chinese restaurant. There was none of that greasy, noisy vibe at all — the George Nelson bubble lamps and warm lighting gave the whole place a genuinely upscale, mood-setting feel.

The space spans roughly 100 pyeong and feels spacious and comfortable, and with three private rooms available it's more than suited for family gatherings, dates, or group dinners.

Menu and tablet ordering

Ordering was easy thanks to the tablet installed at every table. There was a wide range of options, from noodle dishes like jajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles) and jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) to various Chinese dishes.

We ordered the signature jajangmyeon for 8,000 won, beef brisket jjamppong for 12,000 won, and kkanpung shrimp for 35,000 won. Once we ordered, they set out a basic table spread for us haha.

Looking out at the beautiful Haeundae sea, we chatted about little everyday things, like how the vacation season crowds made everything feel even more lively — and before we knew it, the food arrived.

The taste of BUUK's jajangmyeon, beef brisket jjamppong, and kkanpung shrimp
BUUK's jajangmyeon is the perfect classic version — glossy, savory sauce, chewy noodles, topped with cucumber garnish and egg. The moment you slurp up a bite, you can't help but smile.

The rich, spicy jjamppong was generously loaded with meat and vegetables, and the broth was deep and full-flavored. There was a subtle smoky note and just the right amount of spiciness that left you feeling cleared out and refreshed. There was a hint of mala flavor and an odd tingling sensation, but it wasn't off-putting at all — it was delicious.

The spicy-sweet, crispy kkanpung shrimp was excellent — plump, springy shrimp coated in a sauce that clung perfectly to them. Crispy outside, moist inside, it was great as a dish to enjoy on its own alongside the meal.

Why Marine City locals keep spreading the word
After tasting the food, I could see exactly why locals speak so highly of this honest, delicious Marine City spot! They say they cook with the mindset of 'this is what I'd feed my own family,' and run the restaurant as 'a space I'd want to invite my most treasured friend to.' The owner's approach — never skimping, but never overdoing it either, always cooking with care — really comes through warmly. Maybe that's why word has spread so far that people now travel from Gwangalli, Dalmaji, and Nampo-dong just to eat here.
If you've been looking for a Marine City restaurant in Haeundae with great atmosphere and food made with real care, why not stop by this weekend? I hope you get to share delicious food and make happy memories with the people who matter most to you.
