On a day when one round in Seomyeon just wasn't enough to call it a night, I went looking for somewhere to have a light beer and ended up at Craft Hans Seomyeon Branch! As you'd expect from a beer specialist, their own craft beers went really well with the chicken I ordered.✨ It's affordable, has a great vibe, and tastes good too, so it's clearly a popular spot for people's second or third stop of the night.

What does the pub look like inside and out?
Craft Hans is on the second floor of the building, but the sign is big so it was easy to spot! Once night falls, the exterior lighting turns on and the pub atmosphere really comes alive.✨
From the stairs leading up to the shop, the wood tones, brick-like walls, and blue lighting all blended together for a great atmosphere.
Inside, there's a wood-decorated space with tables, and the lighting is fairly dim, making it a good mood for a drink! Vintage props scattered around give it an exotic feel!
On one side there's a large screen for watching sports — if you're looking for a place to catch a baseball or soccer game with a beer in hand, this seems perfect! ⚽️⚾️🍻
True to a beer specialist, there were several draft beer machines, and they pour it cold right as you order!

The menu is made up of chicken, pizza, sausage, fries — all the essentials for beer snacks! Compared to typical bar snack, chicken shop, and pizza place prices these days, everything here was surprisingly cheap!! A whole chicken for around ₩15,000...!!👏🏻

The basic side snack is hardtack biscuits (geonppang)!! Having a beer with the biscuits before the chicken arrived🍻 they actually paired surprisingly well.

The Hans Crispy Chicken🍗 I ordered to go with the beer! Even in photos the portion looks generous. A whole chicken for ₩15,900 as a beer snack is a great deal!👍🏻 Every piece had a crispy batter with parsley sprinkled on top, making it look really appetizing!
The four-beer craft sampler, 15,000 won: how does each one taste?
The menu I was most looking forward to — the four-beer craft sampler! Rather than ordering one full glass, being able to taste several kinds in small amounts is a great option for someone who doesn't know craft beer well👍🏻
First, the Hans Pilsner had a clean, crisp feel that made it easy to start with lightly! Second, the Weizen was a bit smoother and fuller, with the wheat beer's characteristic soft texture and subtle aroma. Next, the Dark Ale was a deep-colored beer, heavier than the first two, with a nutty, slightly bitter taste! Finally, the Pale Ale had a richer aroma than the pilsner and a subtle hoppy bitterness.
Looking at all four together, the colors were slightly different and the flavor directions varied too, so it was fun comparing them as I drank.✨
Cheers with each of us holding a different beer~ It's nice being able to enjoy several flavors of beer with the four-beer sampler, haha.
Final verdict: is Craft Hans a good second round in Seomyeon?
Craft Hans Seomyeon Branch was a great stop for a day when you want chicken and a beer in Seomyeon. With its vintage wood-tone interior, dim lighting, and beer-related props scattered around — quite different from a typical hof — I could really feel that distinct pub atmosphere!
This time I ordered the Hans Crispy Chicken with the four-beer sampler — the chicken's crispy texture paired perfectly as a beer snack, and with the beers, it was great getting to taste a little of each style from pilsner to weizen, dark ale, and pale ale🍗🍻
Above all, if you're struggling to pick just one beer, I'd recommend ordering the sampler to compare a few!
