This is the only Mini Male branch with a large roaster, so you can reportedly watch green beans being roasted in the shop in real time. They say a lot of roasting happens on weekday daytime, so going then should be an even better show.

The moment I walked in, a rush of toasty coffee aroma hit me~ Ah, this is it.

It was the smell of beans being roasted right there 🔥 Watching green beans turn into the freshest beans all around the shop was really fresh and fun.

Minimal Nordic-style interior

As if it had captured Nordic sensibility as is,

a refined atmosphere wrapped around me 😤 The interior was minimal yet classy, and I thought the description of a space offering a short but intense break in the middle of a busy city was spot on, haha. Small and simple, but everything felt neat and true to the essentials.

What does the Mini Male Helsinki Latte taste like?

The Helsinki Latte at Mini Male Seocho Gyodae Branch combines espresso from freshly roasted beans with rich milk, making a latte that is strong yet not heavy, and smooth. Okay, now it's time for the really important part: the taste!

The moment I got the Helsinki Latte in my hand, the aroma from the cup was different. The smoothness from the espresso of freshly roasted beans and the density of rich milk reached my nose first 🎯 It felt like a calm Nordic mood imported straight from Helsinki, Finland.

With the first sip I thought, ah, this is truly a life latte. Strong yet smooth,

not heavy, yet the rich flavor stays alive. Now I believe the claim that it has sold over 100,000 cups is no lie, haha.

It was so addictive you could down it like a shot.

Which coffee beans does Mini Male offer?

Mini Male has three beans: Balance (Ethiopian blend), Dunkel (Central and South American blend) and Decaf (Colombian decaf). They say they insist on selected specialty green beans with a cupping score of 80 or higher, and the coffee quality really was on another level; I could feel it.

Roasted under the care of the head roaster himself,

• Balance (Ethiopian blend): said to have pleasant acidity and a clean finish
• Dunkel (Central and South American blend): said to have the heavy, nutty flavor of dark chocolate
• Decaf (Colombian decaf): said to be well balanced, enjoyable without caffeine worries

The bread I chose this time was the apple crumble financier, and the combination of fresh apple and nutty crumble was perfect. Bakery time, which I'd been looking forward to while drinking my latte, had arrived~

With the first bite, the butter aroma hit me, and that soft financier texture melted on my tongue 🔥

They say Mini Male's bakery is baked carefully every morning. There was a real variety: croissants made with AOP butter, butter-rich salt bread, and cream scones made to Mini Male's own recipe. I thought it was a lineup that would satisfy people hunting for a bakery near Gyodae Station too, haha.

What impressed me most was the handmade New York cookie, the best seller since the shop's founding. This New York-style cookie is said to pair perfectly with specialty coffee. It was so special that it's reportedly called a textbook dessert.

Menu items to try next time

Next visit I have to try the caramel pecan financier and the lamington financier too. And the lamington-style baked treats

are said to be a must-eat, so I can't skip those 😤 And the Portuguese egg tart

is another one to try at least once. Great atmosphere, tasty food, and a space with real charm, so

I honestly wanted to go often. A place in the heart of the Seocho legal district where you can taste the freshness of in-house roasted specialty beans, haha. If you're looking for a true specialty café, I don't think you'll regret it.

Weekday lunchtime (12:00–14:00) is said to be the peak time at Mini Male Seocho Gyodae Branch. I recommend avoiding it if you can. It was clearly a very popular café.

There's no parking in front of the shop, but I heard brief stops may be possible on weekends depending on the situation. Nearby are the paid Seocho Hyundai parking lot and the Seocho-gu Mugunghwa public parking lot, and you can also find cheap lots with the Modu-ui Jucha-jang app or Kakao T.
