Seomyeon Station snack shop with a free handful of peanuts: Daeshin
In short
Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch is an old-fashioned snack shop near Seomyeon Station in Busan that bakes peanut bread and egg bread to order. The writer took home plenty of both, and the friendly owner added a free handful of peanuts to snack on during the trip home. Verdict: set out like a home café, Daeshin's peanut bread was nutty enough to empty half the bag in one sitting, and the egg bread was textbook crispy outside and soft inside.

A light takeout snack near Seomyeon Station: Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch
Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch (대신땅콩빵 부산서면점) is a snack shop near Seomyeon Station that bakes peanut bread and egg bread on a griddle. I was wondering what to snack on in Seomyeon and got pulled in by the nutty smell. There's so much to do in Seomyeon that I always agonize over where to eat. I wanted something light like finger food but still filling, so I wandered around Seomyeon Station and found a real winner.

It's Daeshin Peanut Bread Busan Seomyeon Branch, and the sweet, nutty smell hit my nose from far away, so my feet stopped on their own 👃✨

It's very close to the subway station, so access is great. It's a perfect spot to stop by and grab takeout on the way home from work or before meeting someone.

The exterior oozes nostalgic charm, and seeing the bread turn golden on a huge griddle, I just couldn't walk past 🤤

What did I order at Daeshin Peanut Bread in Seomyeon?
I packed up plenty of both signature items: peanut bread (땅콩빵) and plump egg bread (계란빵, bread baked with a whole egg inside). I love baked goods and old-school snacks anyway, so my eyes lit up. Among the dessert places around Seomyeon Station, it's been a while since I found one this nostalgic and this good, so I was extra happy 🥰

The owner greeted me so warmly and kindly the moment I ordered that I was touched. I'm told Daeshin Peanut Bread is a nostalgic Daegu specialty found near Seomun Market in Daegu. The bread is crispy outside and soft inside, generously filled with nutty peanuts, so the flavor spreads through your mouth as you chew. It's baked hot to order and loved by all ages as a street snack. The balance of sweet and mild is superb, and once you taste it you keep reaching for more.

The owner's bonus: a free handful of peanuts
Even though the owner was busy, they kept greeting me with a smile and made small talk, so the wait wasn't boring at all and was actually really fun.

On top of that, they gave me a separate handful of nutty peanuts to taste on the way home. My heart totally melted and I was so touched.

A shop overflowing with this kind of warmth absolutely deserves our business 🥹👍

Takeout peanut bread and egg bread, home café style
I hugged the boxed bag all the way home, and even in the elevator the nutty aroma was so strong my mouth was watering.

As soon as I got home I put everything on a pretty plate for a home café feel, and the yellow-and-brown golden look was so cute that I took photos first.

If you're on a Seomyeon Station dessert tour, bread lovers, this is a look that will definitely make you open your wallet 📸💖
How does the peanut bread at Daeshin taste?
The peanut bread is slightly crisp outside and fluffy inside, with rich, nutty peanuts within. I bit into the peanut bread first while it was piping hot, and seriously, the nuttiest flavor in the world filled my whole mouth.

The texture, just barely crisp outside and soft and fluffy inside, is pure art. And the peanuts inside burst with nutty flavor with every bite. It isn't that cheap fake-peanut taste, it's genuinely rich and high-quality, so I couldn't stop.

It has an addictive charm, and I finished half a bag in one sitting 😋🥜
How is the egg bread at Daeshin?
The egg bread had a whole egg inside thick batter, in a crispy-outside, soft-inside style. Next up was the egg bread I'd been looking forward to, and it was truly the textbook crispy-outside, moist-inside. A whole egg is nestled in the thick batter, and the salty yet mild flavor works so well together that it could pass as a nutritious snack. The batter itself isn't dry at all, it's very soft with a faint sweetness that pairs perfectly with the egg's richness.

As a breakfast substitute with milk or a cold iced Americano, it's a winning combo that fills you up nicely 🍳☕️
