Songdo outlet café with a baby: first taste of kaimak, Wunder Coffee
In short
Wunder Coffee Bar Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a café near the food market entrance on B1 of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo (Songhyeona) in Yeonsu, Incheon. During a shopping trip with a baby and husband, the writer ordered Wunder Coffee, a kaimak (clotted cream) and iced americano set, and soft serve, and found the first-ever kaimak rich, nutty and satisfying with honey and ciabatta. Wunder Coffee Bar is less a destination café than a good coffee-and-dessert break with a child while shopping at Songhyeona.

I was shopping at the Hyundai Premium Outlet in Songdo and looking for a spot to rest for a bit, and that's how I ended up at Wunder Coffee Bar. When you shop, your legs get tired more than you expect, and you really want a cup of coffee, right? I only meant to get coffee, but I walked out having had kaimak and soft serve too, haha.
I went with my baby and husband. It was a nice place for a quick sugar recharge mid-shopping, and the desserts were satisfying, so I wanted to introduce it.
Where is Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo, and how is parking?

Wunder Coffee Bar is on B1 of the Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, near the food market entrance, inside the restaurant area. The address is 123 Songdogukje-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, B1.

It's on a route you naturally pass while shopping, so it wasn't hard to find, and best of all, it's inside the outlet, so there's no parking worry. Shop, have coffee, shop again: the flow is just right.
What we ordered at Wunder Coffee Bar

Here's what we ordered at Wunder Coffee Bar!
- Wunder Coffee
- Kaimak + iced americano (set)
- Soft serve
That's the order. I'd planned on coffee only, but heard kaimak (a thick, clotted-cream-like dairy spread) is famous, so we added it, and we got a soft serve for the baby. In the end all four were satisfying, haha.
It's a takeout shop, but easy to stay and eat
At first I thought Wunder Coffee Bar Songdo was just a small takeout counter, but using the shared tables right next to it was no trouble at all. It's a restaurant area, so seating was fairly plentiful, and staff wiped down the tables from time to time, so it felt clean overall. For a short break mid-shopping, this setup was actually more convenient.
How do Wunder Coffee and the americano taste?

Put simply, Wunder Coffee was an Einspänner-style coffee: strong coffee topped with soft cream. I liked that the cream wasn't very sweet. I first tried a bite of just the cream, then drank it with the coffee, and the nutty cream went well with it. It wasn't too sweet, so it was easy to have alongside dessert.

My husband ordered the americano, and after a sip I found the coffee stronger than expected. It isn't an acidic style; it's nutty and heavy, so people who usually like strong coffee will probably be happy. Having a cup mid-shopping definitely eased the tiredness, haha.

What does kaimak taste like the first time?
And then... the main event... the kaimak I'd been looking forward to!! I've actually never had kaimak before *-_-* haha. It was the thing I was most excited about on this visit to Wunder Coffee Bar!

The kaimak at Wunder Coffee Bar comes with honey and ciabatta. You spread honey first on the warmed ciabatta, then pile the kaimak on generously and eat.

If you're a first-timer like me, you might wonder what this flavor even is. But if I try my best to describe it(?): it's much richer than whipped cream, nutty like butter, with a really strong, soft milky flavor.

Add sweet honey on top and it goes really well with coffee. If you like sweet desserts, it's worth trying once.

I love sweet desserts, so the kaimak was a total thumbs-up ✨✨✨ My husband ate it happily too, nom nom, haha.
Going with a baby? There's soft serve

The soft serve at Wunder Coffee Bar was our baby's pick. Our son, as always, liked the ice cream best, lol. We ordered one soft serve, and after one bite he kept asking for more, looking ready to finish nearly all of it himself.
The milk flavor is rich, so the sweetness wasn't harsh, and the texture melts softly, so he ate it happily! Kids tire out fast when shopping, but after an ice cream he cheered up and walked well again, haha.
Is Wunder Coffee Bar worth a stop while shopping at Songhyeona?
Personally, I felt Wunder Coffee Bar isn't a café you seek out on purpose, but a really good place to rest for a bit while shopping at the Hyundai Premium Outlet in Songdo! 🎈
The coffee is good, it has something like kaimak that's hard to find at other cafés, and if you bring a baby you can get ice cream too, so it's fine for families. You'd think plenty of cafés would sell ice cream, but surprisingly few do... T_T haha.
If you're looking for a café to rest at mid-shopping at the Songdo outlet and enjoy coffee and dessert together, Wunder Coffee Bar looks like a good choice 💟
