Sangam Hoegwan is a kongguksu (chilled soy milk noodles) restaurant in the basement 1 food court of Sangam IT Tower in Mapo, Seoul. The writer brought her baby and ordered an upsized kongguksu, bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles) and a kimchi pancake, and the larger portion came at no extra charge. With thick soy broth ground in-house, refillable geotjeori (fresh kimchi salad) and free parking, Sangam Hoegwan is worth a return visit.

Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store is a fresh fruit bingsu café on Dolgoji-gil in Paju, Gyeonggi. On a weekday lunch visit with a baby, the 32,000 won fresh mango snow bingsu came piled with well-ripened mango — enough that two adults could barely finish it — and the baby ate mango slices served without syrup. With high chairs and roomy seating across three floors, Fruit Forest Paju makes an easy bingsu outing with a little one.
