용산역 근처 하이브 플레이그라운드 카페 외관

I stopped by while looking for a café near Yongsan Station with decent cake. This time I didn't sit down at all — just ordered three slice cakes to take out.

The size of the place and how the floors are laid out is pretty unusual, so I made a mental note to come back and actually sit for a while next time.

What kind of place is it — 2nd-floor café, 3rd-floor lounge terrace, 4th-floor rooftop

It's a large café that takes up an entire building. Just from the address listed on Naver Maps, you can see the floors each have their own character: café on the 2nd floor, lounge terrace on the 3rd, rooftop on the 4th.

So if you only check out one floor, you've really only seen half the café.

Interior of the large café with different floors

The space is spacious and nicely decorated, the kind of vibe where you end up staying a while instead of just drinking your coffee and leaving.

Spacious, well-decorated café seating area

It's located near Exit 1 of Yongsan Station, right across from LG Uplus and HYBE headquarters, so it's not hard to find.

It's open daily from 11:00 to 24:00, so it's a good spot to drop by in the evening without feeling rushed.

Evening atmosphere at the café, open until midnight daily

Last order is at 23:30 and the hours don't change by day of the week, so it's easy to plan around even if you're out late on a weekend. It's rare for a café this size to stay open until midnight.

How much is the cake

Slice cakes are 10,500 won each.

The shine muscat cake and the peach yogurt cake I ordered this time were both 10,500 won.

The lineup looks like it changes with the seasons. Menus with seasonal fruit can disappear once that season ends, so if there's something you want, don't put it off.

Three slice cakes for two, in the order I picked them

I packed all three slices to go at once. Here they are in the order I chose them.

Three slice cakes packed to go

Shine muscat cake

First up was the shine muscat cake, which was listed as a new menu item.

New menu item, the shine muscat cake

According to the menu description, it's yogurt cream with shine muscat grapes mixed in.

It's 10,500 won per slice, and since the fruit is visible right in the cross-section, it was the most photogenic of the three.

Since it's marked as new, it probably isn't a permanent menu item, so I thought if I didn't buy it now it might be gone next time — that's why I picked it first.

Peach yogurt cake

2026 summer season peach yogurt cake

Second was the peach yogurt cake. The menu description lists it as a 2026 summer season item, and says the stewed peaches used in it are prepared fresh early that same morning.

It's the same price as the shine muscat, 10,500 won. It had the most orders on Naver out of the three, so I was curious what it tasted like and picked it up.

Since it uses peaches, there's a chance it'll be discontinued once summer ends.

Lemon lavender cake

Last was the lemon lavender cake. The first two both combine fruit with yogurt cream, so they overlap a bit, but this one goes citrus with herbal notes, giving it a clearly different profile. If you're buying three slices at once, splitting them across different flavor families like this keeps you from getting sick of it halfway through.

How to get there

It's 525 meters from Exit 1 of Yongsan Station, about an 8-minute walk. It's directly across from LG Uplus and HYBE headquarters, so if you use those big buildings as a landmark you won't get lost. It's also a convenient route if you're heading back toward Yongsan Station with your cake in hand.
