I was meeting friends in Wangsimni and couldn't decide where to go, then heard the atmosphere was good and the food tasty, so I tried it, haha. It looked perfect for get-togethers^^

What is the atmosphere like at Ari Gyegok Hanyang University Branch?

Ari Gyegok is lively without being too loud, and the tables are spaced just right. I was amazed by the interior the moment I walked in! It was easy to chat with friends and we could eat at a relaxed pace, haha. If you're looking for a bar in Wangsimni or near Hanyang University, it's a comfortable place to drop in^^

We ordered the clay duck pancake and the perilla chicken hot pot! I like duck dishes and hot pots in general, so I was really looking forward to it~

When do you remove the lacquer tree from the perilla chicken hot pot?

The perilla chicken hot pot comes with lacquer tree (ot) in it for the photos, and you should take it out within 5 minutes before eating. The hot pot arrived loaded with chicken, and you just boil it and eat~

Eating it together with the broth made it even better^^ There were plenty of vegetables and mushrooms too, which made the broth richer, haha. The perilla chicken hot pot is great as drinking food, and the hot, rich broth naturally makes you want a drink^^ We spooned up broth and chatted with friends and didn't notice time passing~

How do you eat the clay duck pancake wraps?

The clay duck pancake is tender cooked duck that you wrap in the thin pancakes (jeonbyeong) served alongside, together with assorted vegetables. And here it is, the clay duck pancake at Ari Gyegok! The generous spread made me exclaim out loud, haha.

The duck was cooked really tenderly, and from the first bite it tasted mild yet deeply flavorful~ It wasn't greasy but moist, easy to keep eating, and wrapping duck and vegetables in the pancake was a great combination^^

The pancakes were chewy yet soft and went well with the duck~ Adding sauce to taste made it even better, and I kept reaching for more! If you usually like duck dishes, I think you'll be really satisfied, haha.
