What kind of sashimi restaurant is Eochongye 1beonji in Ansan?

Eochongye 1beonji (어촌계1번지) is a sashimi restaurant near Bandalseom Park in Ansan. It's great for eating outdoors, the sashimi is tasty across the board, and plenty of the side dishes are good too. The service is good, so lots of people order takeout and delivery, but I ate in the dining room. Bandalseom Park is by the sea, so there are lots of sashimi places around, and Eochongye 1beonji is one of them!!!!!

You can park in the building, so it's easy. It's close to Bandalseom Park, so I think the best plan is to look at the sea, maybe stop at a café, and make Eochongye 1beonji the last stop of the day.

When is the outdoor seating at Eochongye 1beonji best?

The outdoor seating is especially good in May and June. I went in more or less for daytime drinks, so there were no outside tables yet, but by the time I left they were setting them up. Next time I'll sit outside....! I'm definitely coming back.

Honestly, I'm from Busan, so I've barely found a sashimi place I was satisfied with in Suwon, but this place is different......???

Eochongye 1beonji menu and how to order

At Eochongye 1beonji you can have the sashimi set meal lunch special for good value, and there are also mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), hoedeopbap (raw fish rice bowl), assorted sushi and more. So lots of people come just for a meal rather than for drinks.

The inside is huge, but even though it was early, it was a holiday, so it was packed. That's why I couldn't get proper photos of the interior.

You order with the table-order device at each table. I ordered one seasonal sashimi platter and one grilled rockfish, plus a cola and a bottle of soju!

Eochongye 1beonji sets the table neatly, and my favorite was the shiitake wasabi. I've only ever seen it in tiny pieces, never this chunky, with that sharp wasabi kick, so I loved it. I'm a total wasabi person........

The water is hotgae tea, too, which I liked....... It feels so much more thoughtful than plain water haha

How big is the mini seasonal sashimi platter?

What I loved at Eochongye 1beonji: I ordered the mini sashimi platter and the amount was huge..!!!!!!!! Each piece comes out neatly, and the freshness and thickness were exactly my style. If you're looking for a good-value sashimi place near Bandalseom in Ansan, it's definitely this one!!!!!!

You can feel the freshness in every piece. There was flounder, olive flounder and salmon, and each had a different texture and flavor, so I never got tired of it and just enjoyed it.

A mini size that works for solo drinking too

Chum Churum soju after a long time haha At Eochongye 1beonji I saw quite a few people drinking alone. Since there's a mini size rather than a small, it seems good for solo drinking.

It's mini in name only, the amount is not mini at all, which I loved!!!!! I put the lemon that came with the sashimi into my soju haha

Is the grilled rockfish worth ordering as a side?

Next, the grilled rockfish!!!!!! I was wondering which side to order at Eochongye 1beonji and picked this, and a gigantic rockfish came out haha

It's thick with lots of flesh, and I really enjoyed it...!!!!!!!!

Eochongye 1beonji offers several freebies if you write a receipt review. I did one because I wanted fish cutlet but ordering a full portion would have been too much, and with the review you get 3 pieces, exactly as much as I wanted...........

The place was so good and I wrote the review with care, so they gave me these three pieces, and they were really delicious TT I like fish cutlet more than pork cutlet, and the sauce that came with it was insanely good..haha

By the time I headed back, the outside of Eochongye 1beonji was set up like this, so you can eat in a great atmosphere!!!!!!! It looks perfect for eating outdoors. Totally my style..!!!!!!!!
