The aged salmon was also super chewy and soft, clearly aged well.

Dipping the salmon in the creamy sauce brought out even more flavor.

Salchisal beef tataki, 19,900 won: the best dish of the night

Next up: beef striploin tataki, ₩19,900. Shocking that tataki this good comes in under ₩20,000. Real value for money.

Of everything we ate that day, the striploin tataki was my personal favorite. The lightly seared outside against the raw inside gave it a fantastic texture.

Dipped in the special sauce, it tasted like a completely different dish.

This sauce might as well be the famous magic sauce — it paired perfectly with the meat. A dish like this with a drink, and yeah, this is basically what people mean by a private room-style bar near Konkuk.

Dongpo pork belly bossam with self-serve rice balls, 24,900 won

Last order: jjinbao pork belly bossam with self-serve rice balls, ₩24,900. We ordered it with big expectations since it was apparently featured on the TV show Saengsaeng Jeongbotong as a jokbal (pig's trotter) restaurant. A raw-beef spot suddenly doing bossam? Sounds odd, but trust me, it works.

The sauce soaked properly into the jjinbao pork belly, so even though we hadn't eaten dinner beforehand, this dish alone counted as a full meal.

The bossam was incredibly tender and soft with no gamey smell at all. With everything from raw dishes to cooked meat on the menu, this place suits people looking for an actual meal, not just a room-style Konkuk bar for drinking.
