Fluffy Bake Shop's showcase has canelé, madeleines, financiers, and egg tarts all lined up by type. Let me show you the lineup — just a heads-up, since I visited in the evening, a lot of the bakes were already sold out haha.

First up, the chewy, rich-looking chocolate canelé and vanilla canelé

The madeleines looked so tempting 🤍 there were so many flavors that picking one felt like half the fun

How does the chocolate canelé taste? Chewy, and not too sweet

Fluffy Bake Shop's chocolate canelé has a chewy texture with a nice chocolate flavor. I already knew their financiers were good, but turns out the canelé is also a hit 🤎 Great chewy texture, real chocolate flavor, and not too sweet, so it pairs perfectly with coffee!

Lemon and hallabong madeleines

For madeleines, I went with two zesty options, lemon and hallabong (Korean citrus) — both had a fragrant aroma and a moist, sweet inside that just puts you in a good mood!

Espresso pecan and Earl Grey madeleines

As you'd expect from a Gongdeok Station café famous for its financiers, these were great!! Both the espresso pecan and Earl Grey were delicious with a sweetness that's never too much, so I kept reaching for more haha. The espresso pecan especially — the bitter, rich coffee flavor combined with the nutty pecan worked so well together haha. There's a nutty aftertaste that pairs nicely with coffee too!

Berry Berry financier

The Berry Berry financier had a streusel-like texture on the outside, and the berries inside were chewy!! Sweet and tangy

Gamtae (sea moss) financier

The gamtae financier was genuinely unique — first off, it was so chewy that your teeth left an imprint the moment you bit in, which I loved, and it had a real gamtae flavor that made me go, whoa! But it was delicious. It tasted like something you'd get as a dessert at a fine dining restaurant.

Overall, Fluffy Bake Shop's baked goods each had their own distinct flavor, which made picking through them so much fun! From sweet chocolate to tangy fruit flavors, fragrant Earl Grey, and nutty pecan, there was enough variety to enjoy alongside coffee or tea ☕️🤎

The packaging is also cute and nicely put together, so it's great to eat yourself, but I think it would also make a thoughtful dessert gift. If you're looking for a baked-goods gift set with adorable packaging, I'd highly recommend Fluffy Bake Shop, a Gongdeok Station café favorite!!
