Hapjeong date pizzeria, salmon pizza and wine cocktail: Pizzeria O

This is a review of Pizzeria O in Hapjeong, a pizza spot near Hapjeong Station.

Today I'm sharing my visit to Pizzeria O Hapjeong Station (핏제리아오 합정역점), a great pick for a date in Seoul. You can eat the pizza that won first place at the Pizza World Cup here, so it's a must for couples who love pizza.

Right by Hapjeong Station Exit 2, and where to park

Pizzeria O Hapjeong Station is very close to Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station, so even on a hot summer day the walk was comfortable! The mint-green sign with its foreign feel is easy to spot. For parking, use the paid Homeplus lot inside Mecenatpolis; the first 30 minutes are free.

This is the place for the salmon pizza that took first place at the Pizza World Cup in Rome, Italy, so if you're looking for pizza near Hapjeong Station, it's worth a visit at least once.

Weekday lunch atmosphere and interior

Maybe because it's a famous pizza place, it was fairly busy even on a weekday lunch. We were the last customers before break time, so I only managed to photograph the interior once everyone else had left. It's a clean, comfortable interior.

The staff were also very friendly and the service was great! Now, time to pick the menu.

We came specifically for the salmon pizza, the number one pizza in the world, so we ordered:

I wanted something spicy to go with the salmon pizza, so I ordered the seafood pasta marked with two chili icons 🌶️🌶️. ⭐️Seriously, a highly recommended dish!!!!!⭐️ Order this one, it's really good.

First of all, it's not a regular tomato pasta. It has a spicy kick, and the seafood stock brings out a rich savory depth. It was the most memorable pasta I've had recently!

The sauce is the kicker, and it's great for dipping pizza crusts. I ended up spooning up the sauce on its own, haha. Another plus: it's generously loaded with mussels, crab, shrimp and clams.

What does the salmon pizza taste like?

The salmon pizza was the one I was most looking forward to!! I totally get why it's the world's number one pizza near Hapjeong Station, haha. To describe the taste: first you get the smoky, tender flavor of smoked salmon and the fluffy, chewy wood-fired dough. At the end come the arugula, the salad dressing and the cherry tomatoes, finishing fresh and bright.

It was special because I'd never had a pizza like it anywhere. But it isn't strange; it suits your taste buds!! If you visit Pizzeria O, you have to try it ❤️.❤️

And the dough was so good I was amazed..!! Maybe because it's baked in a wood-fired oven, it's wonderfully chewy. Pizzeria O is a top Seoul date spot and pizza place near Hapjeong Station.

The menu describes it as 'the pizza that won first place at the 2019 Rome World Cup in Italy, an ultimate pizza combining salmon, wild arugula, cherry tomatoes, lemon zest and balsamic cream', and the well-balanced flavor lived up to that description.

The O grapefruit tea is a sweet grapefruit tea. The sweet, tangy grapefruit aroma rises fragrantly, and it paired really well with the fresh salmon pizza. Stir it well before drinking.

Angel Glass

Angel Glass is Pizzeria O's signature wine cocktail! 🍷 Forget pizza and beer, pizza and wine all the way. I could see why it's a best-seller. It was easy to drink and delicious 👏 It uses Italian wine, so it goes well with Western food.

I really enjoyed my meal at Pizzeria O Hapjeong, a pizza spot near Hapjeong Station. With its relaxed atmosphere and special flavors, I recommend it as a Seoul date spot that both girlfriends and boyfriends will like!
