Where is Tomoru Bakery's Songdo branch?

Tomoru Bakery's Songdo branch is at 23 Haedoji-ro 120beon-gil, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, on the first floor. It's close to Incheon National University Station Exit 2 and Senteureolpakeu Station Exit 4, and you can park in the basement of Acria Building 2 (up to 4 hours free).

Today's story is about Tomoru Bakery, which I think is the top-tier bakery in Songdo, Incheon.

Tomoru Bakery is run by a Korean master baker (제과 기능장, a national master's certification in baking), and the bread is so good that everyone living around Songdo knows it! It has lots of regulars, and I've been back three times over, so it's a legit favorite. A holy land of Incheon bakery pilgrimages 🍞

I went on a weekday morning and it was still quite busy. The bread sells out quickly, so fresh batches keep coming out.

The best menu to grab on a first visit: basil tomato

Tomoru Bakery's best sellers are the basil tomato, kkamang-i (black bread), and coconut cream cheese. The basil tomato is seriously moist and soft, and it's my absolute favorite bread.. If it's your first bakery pilgrimage here, definitely grab the basil tomato! The coconut cream cheese has a nice balance of bread and cream.

Savory pizza breads and baked sweets

My beloved savory breads: sausage croissant, pastry pizza bread, leaf pizza bread. Tomoru Bakery's pizza breads are so delicious, I'm crying. They also have corn panettone, scones, egg tarts and pecan pie.

There's also original salt bread, chestnut loaf bread, fresh donuts and twisted donuts (kkwabaegi). I haven't tried the loaf breads, but I saw plenty of people call them their favorite. A Songdo, Incheon bakery that nails the basics.

Sandwiches that work as a meal

Fresh vegetable croquette, mini burger, bagel sandwich. I recommend these too.. The ingredients are fresh and the sauce is delicious, I'm crying. They don't skimp on ingredients, so they work well as a meal.

What cakes does Tomoru Bakery have?

Tomoru Bakery's cake lineup is good too. They have mango sand, Shine sand, kirsch, and strawberry dome.

Today.. was a day when I wanted to dig into a moist, sweet cake loaded with cream. I couldn't decide between the mango sand, chocolate roll and kirsch, but then I remembered my friend, a Tomoru Bakery regular, raving that the roll cake here is insanely good, so I went with ✅ the chocolate roll.

Tomoru Bakery offers box packaging for gift cookies and regular breads, so I bought one to give to a friend 💖 It came packed in a pretty pink box ✨

Since I bought a roll cake, they also put in a candle. Honestly I bought it to dig into by myself, but I took it to get in the mood, haha

How does Tomoru Bakery's chocolate roll cake taste?

I got home and opened the chocolate roll cake. The chocolate roll cake... the look... amazing, I'm crying. It looks so, so, so, so delicious at a glance.

The fresh cream is seriously, really moist. It's not a thick, heavy cream but one that melts away, and it's not that sweet, and it's so good. And the chocolate cream packed inside is amazing!!!!! Even eating just the cream by the spoonful isn't greasy at all, it tastes so good, luxurious and moist, I'm crying. The balance between cream and cake was really good.

Honestly a roll cake so delicious you could use it as a birthday cake with no complaints 👏👏👏👏
