Korean cleansing balm for sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal
In short
HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm is a Korean cleansing balm tested on sensitive combination-oily, dehydrated skin. It melted with body heat and left little residue after makeup removal. Verdict: a light, convenient option for me.

How was the texture on combination-oily, dehydrated skin?

Because my combination-oily, dehydrated skin gets sweaty and oily on hot days but still feels dry underneath, I tried using a cleansing balm to remove my makeup. This product was labeled as containing 10,000 ppm of Jirisan charcoal.

Since I have sensitive skin, I tend to look closely at ingredients, but I felt almost no irritation while using it. The balm melted softly on contact with body heat, making it easy to massage over my skin.

How did it remove makeup?

I removed everything from eye makeup to lipstick with this one product, and for me, it felt fine without a separate double cleanse. It did not tend to leave a residue after washing, so it felt lightweight to use.

I also massaged it around my nose when blackheads were bothering me. After trying it on my hand, it felt moisturizing after cleansing, but I regarded any tone change or pore-care effects as only my personal experience.

What about the spatula and portability?

A spatula was included, so I could use it without scooping the balm out directly with my hands. It can be attached inside the lid, too, so I worried less about losing it in storage.

Its one-hand size and balm texture also made it feel convenient to pack for travel. For me, another advantage was worrying less about leaks than with a liquid oil.
