Cleansing balm for oily sensitive skin: HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal
In short
This is a charcoal cleansing balm from HEEDA that I tested on my oily, sensitive skin in Korea. It melted into an oil-like texture to remove makeup and sebum around my nose, and I was satisfied with both its cleansing power and the less-tight feeling after washing.

How did it feel on oily, sensitive skin?

Because I have oily, sensitive skin, I tend to avoid products that leave my skin feeling tight or red after washing. This product felt relatively gentle when removing makeup, and my skin felt moisturized even after cleansing, so I kept using it.

How does the balm texture melt and apply?

It came with a spatula that could be secured to the lid. It was firm when I scooped it out and placed it on my hand, but it melted on contact and spread smoothly like an oil.

When I applied it with a rolling motion, it seemed to melt away my makeup. In my use, it removed lip tint and waterproof mascara without a separate remover. It emulsified smoothly, and there was little slippery or residue-like feeling after washing.

How did I cleanse sebum around my nose?

I used it by gently rubbing around my nose in a rolling motion. After cleansing, my skin texture felt smoother, and I thought it would be good to use when I needed to manage sebum and blackheads.

Is it easy to pack for travel?

Because it is a balm rather than an oil formula, I worried less about it leaking and found it easy to pack for trips. For me, removing makeup with one cleansing product felt simple.

Since it is a cleansing product I use every day, it was important that it cleansed without irritation. On my skin, I was satisfied with both its cleansing power and how it felt after washing.
