In short
Seowon Angil Hapjeong is a pet-friendly brunch café in a two-floor standalone building on Jandari-ro 3-gil in Seogyo-dong, Mapo, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Hapjeong Station Exit 3. The writer ordered kimchi fried rice (₩19,000) and a Berry Blush Smoothie (₩8,500) at Seowon Angil Hapjeong and enjoyed pairing the spicy, tangy fried rice with the cold, rich smoothie. Prices are a little high, but the plant-filled interior and well-spaced seating make Seowon Angil Hapjeong a good café for a quiet meal and conversation.

Today I wanted to spend some tasty time in a relaxed setting, so I headed to this atmospheric spot near Hapjeong Station, the Hapjeong branch of Seowon Angil. :) The standalone building with a first and second floor stands out even from far away. With its lush green plant décor, the whole place feels calm and moody, so I visit fairly often.
The tables are also spaced generously, so it never feels crowded and it's easy to chat comfortably. Okay, let me walk you through the space and the menu!

Inside, there's a drink showcase on the left and a dessert display on the right, and you order at the counter first. The interior mixes vintage with sleek, modern touches.

The drink showcase on the left,

and the dessert display on the right greet you.

I ordered at the counter first, then took a slow look around the café!

The interior mixes vintage with sleek modern. With fresh green plants here and there and warm lighting, it's the kind of mood-filled space where photos come out pretty, you know?

It's never very crowded or noisy, and some seats feel quietly private, so I thought it would suit a get-together with friends or a date.

The interior is pretty, so it's fun just to look around, and the light coming through the windows was lovely. I didn't capture it in photos, but the space continues up to the second floor as well as the first, so it felt wide and roomy.
How do the kimchi fried rice and berry blush smoothie taste?

The menu at Seowon Angil Hapjeong covers fragrant coffee, a variety of drinks, and hearty brunch dishes. This time I ordered these two:
- Kimchi fried rice ₩19,000
- Berry blush smoothie ₩8,500
That's my order! The prices are a little on the high side, but considering the mood and comfort of the space, they felt fair. This time I tried something a bit different: filling kimchi fried rice and a sweet-tart berry smoothie!

When the food I'd been waiting for arrived and the table was set, it looked so neat and blended perfectly with the calm café mood. :)

The spicy-sour kimchi fried rice was a perfectly good filling meal,

and the cold, rich berry smoothie whetted my appetite with its sweetness, so the two together were a surprisingly great match. Eating good food in a nice place, I lost track of time. It was a tidy brunch that fit the relaxed atmosphere. :)
