Yongridan-gil instant tteokbokki before a concert: Hyeonseonine

Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is an instant tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) restaurant on Yongridan-gil in Yongsan, Seoul, open for more than 20 years since it began as a street cart in 2004. Arriving at 6pm with a friend before a concert, the writer ordered mild instant tteokbokki, fried rice and yakki-mandu (fried dumplings), and found the sweet-spicy broth, chewy rice cakes and a portion more than enough for two the highlights. For old-school tteokbokki on Yongridan-gil, Hyeonseonine Yongsan Main Branch is a solid choice.
