In short
Ggupdda (꿉따) is a minari (water dropwort) pork belly restaurant near Deungchon Station in Yangcheon, Seoul. After work on a weekday, the writer and a friend ordered Ggupdda's minari pork belly and pork jowl set (36,000 won, 600g), bibim makguksu (spicy mixed buckwheat noodles) and rice. A Deungchon Station team-dinner grill house after a weekday shift
I was craving pork belly after work one weekday, so I headed to Ggupdda near Deungchon Station haha. It seems to be a really famous spot for team dinners around Deungchon Station!

When I visited, Ggupdda seemed to be running an opening event with free doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), a photo review event and a 3+1 meat event too!! Inside, the place is pretty big and comfortable, so it'd be perfect for group gatherings or team dinners haha.

Ggupdda's basic side dishes and self-serve bar
Once we sat down at Ggupdda, the table was set with bean sprouts, kimchi, ssam vegetables, spring onion salad, perilla leaves and pickled radish wraps, all sides that go great with meat!

If you run out of kimchi, bean sprouts or ssam vegetables, you can refill freely at the self-serve bar, which is great!! Also, extra fragrant minari (water dropwort) is ₩3,000, just so you know haha.

Ggupdda menu, what we ordered and prices
The Ggupdda menu had minari sets and à la carte meats as the mains, plus a huge range of meals like bibim makguksu (spicy mixed buckwheat noodles), mul makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles in broth), janchi guksu (banquet noodles), doenjang-jjigae and flying fish roe fried rice, so it's easy to pick what you like!! 🤍

I ordered the minari pork belly + jowl set (₩36,000), bibim makguksu (₩6,000) and steamed rice (₩1,000). With prices these days, getting this hearty a spread for this much is crazy good value...!! It's such good value that it's a great pick for a team dinner near Deungchon Station haha.

The 600g minari pork belly + jowl set: how to grill it
Ggupdda's minari pork belly and jowl set is a whole geun, 600g, so the portion surprised me, it's huge haha. They also set meljeot (salted fermented anchovy sauce) right on the grill, which is a big plus 🤍 The minari comes in a generous pile too, and extra is only ₩3,000, so minari lovers take note!!

Grill your meat until golden, and when it's nearly done, pile on plenty of minari, grill it just a little longer, then eat them together!! 🤍 You only need to cook the minari lightly, and it goes so well with pork belly!!

The Ggupdda owner stayed kind even when busy
The place was packed with customers and the owner was super busy, but still so, so kind haha. The meat quality is no joke either and it was seriously delicious. My friend said the meat suited their taste perfectly and raved that they definitely want to come back!!

A slice of ham on the rice
A small touching detail at Ggupdda: when you order steamed rice (₩1,000), it comes with a slice of ham on top. I loved it haha. Put a piece of meat on the fluffy rice and add some doenjang-jjigae, and it's honestly the perfect combo!!! 🤍

₩6,000 bibim makguksu
Ggupdda's side dish bibim makguksu is so good value at ₩6,000 that it's hard to believe haha. The sweet and tangy sauce cuts the richness of the meat and goes so well with it, totally great!

Finishing with watermelon for dessert
On the day I visited Ggupdda, just as we were finishing, the owner brought us cold watermelon for dessert, so we ended the meal feeling really well fed haha. A good-value grill house near Deungchon Station and a team dinner favorite, totally agree!!
If you're looking for a hearty, good-value Korean BBQ restaurant near Deungchon Station, I highly recommend Ggupdda!! 🤍
