Outside the restaurant

It's close to Yangcheon Hyanggyo Station Exit 8 and also close to the Seoul Botanic Park entrance!! Super accessible haha
Window seats and an outdoor patio: inside Jju Baksa Magok Branch

The inside has floor-to-ceiling windows, so you get a lush green view, and if the weather's nice you can even sit on the outdoor patio!!

Aprons are self-serve, so grab one if you need it.

Even the sunlight here is on point, so it's great whether you come during the day or at night — my favorite neighborhood spot, sob.

There's a restroom inside the building, and at the entrance they even have floss, toothpicks, and hair ties!! Gani forgot to bring a hair tie, so she smartly grabbed one and used it.
The 33,000 won fried rice set, ordered mild

I took a photo of the menu board out front haha. You order through the tablet kiosk at each table!! Whenever I come here I always get the fried rice set! Octopus-pork belly for 2 + egg custard + fried rice, 33,000 won for 2, and you can pick your spice level too. I'm weak to spice so I went mild, go go.
The complimentary side dishes
Perilla leaves, glass noodles (cheonsachae), radish wrap, sauce! You can add bean sprouts to the octopus-pork belly to your taste (I really love eating the octopus-pork belly with these glass noodles).
Flying fish roe also comes out with it, which is great to add in when you're wrapping up the octopus-pork belly!

The octopus-pork belly came out. The staff cook it for you first, so we just wait haha.

Ta-da, how's this spread look? Gani's Snoopy photo has to make an appearance (no particular reason. Snoopy is just cute).

Corn butter is also part of the set — good on its own or added into the wraps too.
Fluffy cheese egg custard — all three versions are good

The cheese egg custard looks insane too, right? There's cheese, crab meat, or plain, and all three are delicious.

But this time Gani wanted cheese, so cheese it was!! Totally fluffy and seasoned just salty enough, so good!

Looks so good, right? Check out how plump the octopus is.
It's for 2 servings but the octopus and pork belly are both generous, and the sauce soaked in nicely, so satisfying.
Once it's mostly cooked, they tell you to eat the rice cakes first.

Rice cake first~ then octopus~ mild spice meant it wasn't spicy at all and was just right haha.
At Jju Baksa, wrap the octopus with cheonsachae glass noodles

A sudden wrap showdown lol lol lol. It's tasty on its own, but at Jju Baksa you absolutely must!! put glass noodles!! on the wrap!!! It makes it even better.

There are a lot of octopus-pork belly places in Magok, but I think Jju Baksa stands out because of the fresh ingredients! The combo of wrap greens + glass noodles + radish wrap + sauce is great too!! I think those glass noodles are this place's real hook — Gani kept saying it was delicious while eating too!! haha
Finishing with flying fish roe fried rice

Once you've eaten for a while, the fried rice comes out — we picked the flying fish roe fried rice!
Is this really a single serving?! Sob, haha.
Ready to dig in properly.

The seasoning itself isn't too salty or intense, so the fried rice ends up mild and tasty too, haha.

We saved some octopus-pork belly for a last bite, wrapped it up carefully, and that's a wrap.
Final verdict on Jju Baksa Magok Branch
Jju Baksa Magok Branch is the true neighborhood spot that comes to mind whenever I want octopus-pork belly in Magok!! The octopus and pork belly portions were generous and the glass noodle wrap combo was especially delicious, haha. Finishing it all off with the fried rice too made for maximum satisfaction!!! If you're looking for a great octopus-pork belly spot in Magok, I recommend giving it a try.
