What is Think Fruit, the Hongdae dessert café, like?

Think Fruit (띵크프룻) is a dessert café famous for its soufflés, on Wausan-ro 29-gil near Hongik Univ. Station in Hongdae. It kept popping up as a soufflé spot whenever I searched for dessert cafés in Hongdae, so I was curious! I went with a friend for something sweet, haha. I heard it has won a Blue Ribbon every year, so my expectations were even higher >ㅁ<

Think Fruit is close to Hongik Univ. Station, so it's a great place to meet a friend for dessert! Hongdae has so many pretty cafés, but you want one with really good dessert too, right? haha. Think Fruit is known for soufflés, so I was looking forward to it before I even arrived 💗

Inside Think Fruit: atmosphere and seating

The inside of Think Fruit is white-toned, neat and comfortable!! It's spacious and clean overall, so it's great for sitting and chatting with a friend.

There were lots of kinds of seats, the floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel open, and it's a relaxed place to enjoy dessert! It's also a decent Hongdae dessert café for a date~~

What we ordered at Think Fruit and the prices

My friend and I ordered one strawberry Valrhona chocolate soufflé and two coffees.

Think Fruit has many kinds of soufflé, and we went with the strawberry and chocolate combo, haha. Sweet dessert plus coffee, need I say more >ㅁ< We'll save the Shine Muscat grape and fig ones for next time~~~

The showcase is packed with boxes of fresh fruit!! Lots of reviews said the fruit at Think Fruit is good, and it seems they really use fresh fruit??

Strawberry Valrhona chocolate soufflé: taste and texture

Loaded with strawberries

The strawberry Valrhona chocolate soufflé is pretty from the first look, piled with strawberries and topped with chocolate. Ta-daa~~ the soufflé is finally here! Isn't it gorgeous already? 🍓🤎 With so many strawberries on top, just looking at it made me look forward to the fresh, sweet combo.

That fluffy soufflé look plus chocolate is totally my style! If you're after a good-looking dessert among Hongdae cafés, this one is worth a look, haha.

And the ice cream is Häagen-Dazs too??? I got the feeling Think Fruit really cares about its ingredients..!!!

Warm and fluffy texture

Cut with a knife, the soufflé is warm, soft and fluffy. Texture is everything with a soufflé, right! I cut off a little bit with the knife and the texture was so good ~~~ It melts softly in your mouth, and from the first bite I understood why Think Fruit is famous for soufflé!!

Less sweet than expected, so easy to finish

Even though it's a chocolate soufflé, it wasn't very sweet, which I liked even more! Chocolate desserts get cloying fast when they're too sweet, but the soft soufflé and strawberries went so well together that I could enjoy it to the very end.

I loved all the strawberries too 🍓 The fruit was fresh and tangy and went well with the sweetness of the chocolate!! Scooping up soufflé, strawberry and chocolate sauce in one bite is amazing..!! You get sweetness and freshness together, so good! It has a different charm from the cakes you usually get at Hongdae dessert cafés, haha.

Iced Americano and café latte with the soufflé

We ordered an iced Americano and an iced café latte with the soufflé~~ A sip of coffee between bites of the sweet soufflé cleans your palate, so they went well together ☕️ It's great for taking your time and chatting with a friend, and perfect for a day when you're craving something sweet~~

Who is Think Fruit for?

I'd recommend Think Fruit, a Hongdae dessert café, to anyone who loves soufflé! I liked the warm, fluffy texture, and with all those strawberries it was so delicious. The space is roomy and tidy, so it was good for chatting with a friend and also decent for a dessert date.

If you want a good soufflé in Hongdae, I recommend Think Fruit~~~ 🍓 We had a sweet time with a fluffy soufflé and coffee!
