Bakery near Incheondaehakgyo Station: ciabatta sandwich to go, Tomoru
In short
Tomoru Bakery is a bakery café near Incheondaehakgyo Station in Songdo, a short walk from Songdo Central Park. A bread-loving reader stopped in and chose a ciabatta sandwich and a scallion pollack roe baguette, then browsed the shelves of tin loaves, salt bread, croissants and cakes until the bag was full. The ciabatta sandwich was enough for a full meal, and the salty, savory pollack roe baguette is the one she kept thinking about afterwards.

I was out in Songdo and stopped by Tomoru Bakery, which has been getting a lot of buzz as a bakery café, to pick up some good bread and a sandwich. I love bread so much I can never walk past a new bakery without checking it out, haha. Once I got there, I totally understood why so many people come here! If you're looking for a bakery near Songdo Central Park, this one's worth a visit.

Inside Tomoru Bakery: shelves facing the open baking room
True to its bakery-café name, Tomoru has a huge variety of bread — from sweet desserts to sandwiches good enough for a full meal, so many choices it gave me decision paralysis. What put me most at ease was that you can see the staff baking away in the kitchen area in back. Customers kept streaming in and the register never had an empty line, so you could tell this place has a lot of regulars. You can tell just by looking that the bread is going to be good, haha. Once you walk in, the smell of fresh bread is impossible to resist.

What ingredients does Tomoru Bakery bake with?
Tomoru Bakery uses rice flour made from a newly developed variety that can be milled without soaking in water first, which makes the bread chewier and easier to digest. They also use natural leavening, AOP-certified butter, and antibiotic-free free-range eggs, apparently. Ingredients matter so much in bread, and seeing that much care put into them made me trust the place even more.

The store was kept spotless and the display was neatly arranged, so browsing around felt genuinely pleasant. You can also order coffee, so it'd make a nice, simple brunch spot too!
Too many kinds of bread — a happy problem, haha. Picking really did take the longest time, lol.

Tin loaves, salt bread, croissants, baguettes, sandwiches, ciabatta, cakes — such a wide range. I got why so many people search for a bakery near Songdo Central Park! The Dubai choco baguette looked amazing too, so I was torn for a while. Everything looked so good I kept reaching for the tongs, haha.

Top picks: the ciabatta sandwich and the scallion pollack roe baguette
My top picks are the ciabatta sandwich and the pollack roe scallion baguette :) Of everything I tried this time, the ciabatta sandwich was the best. The ciabatta was chewy outside and moist inside, packed generously with fillings, so it made a full meal by itself. It got even better the more I chewed, with a clean, savory flavor that really landed.

And you really should try the pollack roe baguette too. The salty, umami-rich pollack roe went so well with the baguette. It wasn't overpowering but kept calling me back, and I finished it in no time, haha.

How do the breads taste reheated at home?
Every bread at Tomoru Bakery looked great and felt polished. Plenty of other customers weren't buying just one or two — they were filling up whole trays at checkout. Seems like regulars already know how good it is, haha. I only meant to buy a few too, but I kept adding things and my bag filled up fast, haha. The packaging was neat, and once home I ate them one by one — a quick zap in the microwave made them taste almost as good as fresh out of the oven!

There's also a wide variety of cakes, so it's a good spot for a birthday or anniversary cake too. If you're looking for a bakery in Songdo, I'd recommend Tomoru Bakery. Parking is available behind the building, so it's easy to visit, and the long hours from morning to evening make it convenient to drop by anytime.

I hadn't been to Songdo in a while, and finding such a satisfying bakery café made it a great trip! If you go to Tomoru Bakery in Songdo, I'd recommend the ciabatta sandwich and the pollack roe baguette. Next time I plan to try more of the breads one by one, haha. Tomoru Bakery — a well-searched bakery near Songdo Central Park — is unlikely to disappoint!
