Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch is at 11 Gwongwang-ro 139beon-gil, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, on the 2nd floor, 229 m from Exit 3 of Suwon City Hall Station. It's open daily from 11:00 to 21:30, with last order at 20:30.

More Kuu Kuu Gold branches have been popping up lately and they're popular again, and I've been going too. The quality was way better than I expected..?! haha So I was thrilled when I heard a Kuu Kuu Gold was coming to Ingye-dong near Suwon City Hall Station. This Ingye-dong branch had its grand opening on June 12, so it's totally brand new. I looked it up and Kuu Kuu has already been around for 15 years..?! Maybe that's why it's trending again as Gold, and I was just so happy about it haha

How long is the wait at Kuu Kuu Gold in Ingye-dong, and how big is it?

Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch takes up an entire floor with a whopping 674 seats, and there's a proper waiting area too. I went on a weekday so there was no wait, but once word spreads I bet the lines will form quickly.

The price isn't bad and the place is huge, so it works for big groups, and the buffet has a really wide variety, which I loved haha 674 seats.. insane, right? haha

How much does Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch cost?

Adult prices at Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch are ₩28,900 for weekday lunch, ₩32,900 for weekday dinner and ₩36,900 on weekends and holidays. When guests are waiting, your time limit is 100 minutes.

Not just sushi: a seriously varied buffet menu

Most people think of Kuu Kuu as a sushi buffet, but this branch surprisingly has a really, truly wide range of dishes!! There happened to be a table close to the food, so I ate there and wandered back and forth, which let me eat even more freely.

The staff also keep topping up whatever runs out, so you get warm, freshly made food, and they were all friendly too, so it was a really pleasant meal.

The fried items are kept warm, and the fruit and fried foods sit behind little doors you open yourself, so everything felt fresher and just-made, which I was very happy with.

My husband's top pick: the lamb chops

At Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch you can try Korean, Chinese, Western food, meat and more! My husband's top pick was the lamb chops haha! He raved that the quality was really good and so delicious.

There's so much variety and the food isn't salty or harsh, so it's easy to bring parents and kids, and there are plenty of dishes nobody will object to. I recommend it for family meals!

Grilled abalone refilled every 15 minutes, better than homemade

The sign says the grilled abalone is refilled every 15 minutes, and the quality is amazing... haha The abalone was the same size as the ones I bought at a steep price on Coupang for my housewarming, and it tasted better than the butter-grilled abalone I made myself lol

There were also soups and an oden (fish cake) soup, which was unusual. I took a little of the soup, the dogani-tang (ox knee bone soup) and the oden soup to try them all, and every one was delicious.. perfect for waking up your appetite haha

Is Kuu Kuu Gold good for a family meal with kids?

Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch has a play room so you can eat in peace while your child plays, plus kids' tableware and high chairs. It's just right for a relaxed family meal.

The branch is newly opened so it's extra clean, and there were already lots of foreign guests, which made me realize Kuu Kuu has gotten really hot lately haha

I only photographed my very first plate.. after that I was eating too frantically to take any, lol Kuu Kuu has so many mains, sides and desserts that you should pace yourself.. I like desserts more, so I only ate 1.5 plates of mains and filled the rest with desserts, and I was still super full and happy haha

Draft beer, wine and the sushi and sashimi corner

Near the entrance of Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch you can also get draft beer and wine. The manager at the register raved that Kuu Kuu's wine is really good and told me to try it sometime, so I'm going again with friends the week after next and will try drinks then haha

Just looking at this, isn't the value amazing..? Prices are so high these days, and a buffet with this quality at this price... but that's not all..

This is the sushi, sashimi and seafood that you could call Kuu Kuu's main event! Personally, though, I liked the other dishes more than the sushi. The mini gimbap (seaweed rice rolls) were so cute I wondered how they made them...? It's big prawn season, and there were prawns plus disposable gloves, so I peeled a few too! Everything I wanted to eat, all in one place, this was heaven.. haha

For dessert, don't skip the egg tarts

And now the grand dessert corner!! I just love Kuu Kuu's egg tarts so much T_T They're really delicious, please try them T_T

The melon was cut so it's easy to eat, and the fruit, cakes and breads were all so varied that just tasting them fills you up... sigh.. I want to go again already... If you lose your composure at the start you won't make it to the dessert corner, so balance it out (?) and split your stomach up, haha. Pro tip!

Drinks corner: hallabong slush and milk tea

Besides alcohol, the drinks at Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch include tea, slush, soda, coffee, milk, sikhye (sweet rice punch) and milk tea... this many drinks???. I even tried a slush because it reminded me of my childhood, and the slush quality, what is this.. lol The hallabong (Korean citrus) flavor is yummy,,

They even have cafe mocha at the coffee station, the best Kuu Kuu ever T_T I overheard other guests saying the milk tea is really good too!? If you like milk tea, try it at the coffee corner..!!

Is Kuu Kuu Gold good for a Suwon company dinner or year-end party?

Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch has separate group seating, so it looked great for company dinners and year-end or new-year parties. At first I was too busy eating to notice, but on my way out I saw the group seating and it's no joke,,,!?

If you're planning a company dinner or a year-end or new-year party around Suwon or Yongin, you could reserve the private group seating, hang a banner and eat well. If you have to pick a company dinner spot, I recommend Kuu Kuu in Ingye-dong! Try putting it in your proposal,, nobody will object and everyone will be satisfied.

Parking and the birthday discount

Parking at Kuu Kuu Gold Suwon City Hall Branch is free for 2 hours, and if you come on your birthday, the birthday person gets 30% off! They were also selling merchandise that would make nice gifts.

I really went wild for the first time in ages (?), and there was everything I like, and I was happy from the fun of choosing to the delicious eating... haha If you're looking for a great Suwon buffet or an Ingye-dong sushi buffet, I recommend Kuu Kuu Suwon City Hall. If I could go back two months, I'd have come here for my company party spot too, that's how satisfied I was :)
