Bass Burger Yeouido has a free chip self-bar you can help yourself to while you wait for your food. I'd ordered a beer too, and the chips were a perfect match. I didn't notice it at first, but then I saw there were self-serve chips set up on one side of the restaurant, haha!

Sauces are set out alongside, so I wasn't bored before the food arrived, and the crunchy chips kept me reaching for more, haha. A small perk like this really boosts how happy you are with a place.

Bass Burger's double bacon cheeseburger (₩11,300) lives up to its name, with a thick patty plus bacon, and it looked mouthwatering from the start. The moment I took a bite the juiciness hit, and the salty bacon and the cheese blended together naturally. So good, I'm already craving it again...

There's a fair amount of vegetables too, so it isn't heavy and stays well balanced to the very last bite. If you like burgers with a rich meaty flavor, I absolutely recommend it!! If you can't decide what to order at Bass Burger, I'd go for the double bacon cheeseburger.

Is the wasabi mayo shrimp burger too wasabi-heavy?

In Bass Burger's wasabi mayo shrimp burger, the wasabi comes through only subtly, and it actually cuts the richness. I already like shrimp burgers, so I was looking forward to this one, and it beat my expectations. The shrimp patty is quite thick and the texture stays nice and bouncy. I worried the wasabi mayo might be too strong at first, but that was needless worry. The overall taste is clean, so I think anyone can eat it without any trouble.

Chili mozzarella cheese bars from TikTok, with ranch sauce

Bass Burger's chili mozzarella cheese bars (₩3,700) were honestly what I was looking forward to even more than the burgers that day, haha. I'd seen them all over TikTok and really wanted to try them! When I ordered, I asked the staff for ranch sauce on the side, and this combo was spot on.

They're coated generously in a sweet-and-spicy chili seasoning and packed with mozzarella inside, so every bite gives you that long cheese pull, which made me so happy, haha.

Dipping them in the ranch mellows out the spiciness and I couldn't stop eating. Next time I visit I'm definitely ordering the chili mozzarella cheese bars again, haha.

Bass Lager: the burger and beer combo

Bass Burger's Bass Lager (₩5,500) has a moderate fizz and goes down clean. It pairs well with greasy burgers, and with the chili mozzarella cheese bars the combination was honestly perfect, haha. Beer and burger, this is the best, right?!

It seemed ideal for having a beer with a meal, too. And perfect when you want a little lunchtime rebellion with a beer.. hahaha If you're hunting for a good place near The Hyundai Seoul, I highly recommend Bass Burger's Yeouido flagship.

After a full day of shopping at The Hyundai Seoul, eating at Bass Burger tasted even better than usual, and I finished everything in a flash,, haha. With the free chip service and the chili mozzarella cheese bars, it has a charm you don't easily find at other burger places, making it a great handmade burger spot near Yeouido Station.
